When you prepare a gallon of water with nutrients to feed are you supposed to give the whole gallon per plant or just pour in some instead of plain water every other time?

Water with the nutes the same as you would water regularly. I like to water until about 10% runoff, nutes or no nutes. You want to thoroughly water the soil, then let it dry back before watering again.

Get some catch pans for under the pots, and raise the pots up so the pots don't sit in runoff water. Slowly put the water into the pots and when you get runoff, you're done. The amount of water will change depending on the size of the plant, the temp and humidty, it's a moving target.

Mix it per gallon always. Pour that into a 2nd container at the rate you want to water your plants. Keep in mind you don't need to start runoff until you are fairly certain your roots have filled out nicely in the container.

When you reach the FF Feeding Schedule calling for a nutrient flush (maintenance flush) then use a full gallon. FFs "Sledgehammer" nutrient rinse works well and is organic.

What I said applies to 5 gallon pots. Besides gallon containers I have 1/2 and 1/4 gallon coffee creamer jugs so I can measure watering amount.

I've found .5gal is a pretty decent amount for a 5gal fabric pot without causing a mess in the closet.

It ended up being .5gal between the 3 pots, so not as scary as I thought lol but now I am hoping they don't get burnt lol I didn't go full dose but still lol

FF isn't as strong as people make out! Follow the schedule. Don't feed twice a week!

Update! First morning after nutes! Good grief lol

If those are 2 gal pots .5 gal between the 3 is not nearly enough to saturate the whole pot !! When I use 2 gal I’m giving them .5 gal or JUST over per pot. And like Phyto said get some catch trays under those pots. I keep my pots raised then just poke a hole in catch tray n put a solo cup under hole to catch run off. Just what works for me.
