adjust time when lights are on during cycle?

can i move the hours my lights are off to a different time once i am already into a cycle? i want to adjust for the heat of the day and have my lights off during that time. currently my lights are off from midnight til 6 am and i am a month into veg. i want them off from 2 til 8 pm instead. thanks for the advice guys!

What about if i am 6 weeks into flower? Can i switch from lights on at 10am to 10pm? I got heat/noise/smell issues during the day but i wouldn't have any of those at night.

for veg - leave bulbs ON til time off wanted

for flower - leave bulbs OFF till time wanted

As other say, For veg just keep the lamp on all the way threw the night. They will love you for it and have more nodes. Flowering you got to keep the timing the same. Plan before you plant and you wont fail.
