I try and give advice as little as possible. Bad advice is worse than no advice. Some people ask 500 questions, and listen to none anyhow. Some people write parragraphs, about one subject. I don't pretend to know everything, but I know a lot about indoor gros. I don't know everything, like some people think they do. And, if you correct someone, they won't respond enough, to even have a dialog about the subject. Just a few thoughts. For those of you who like dialog thanks.

It depends on the individuals devotion to it. If they are not trying it for the long term, they may not be as invested. There is so much information on growing cannabis that it can be overwhelming for the simple folk. A lot of people are super simple. Either simple in the fact they don’t divulge what they know but just want to see what people say or they are stuck in their belief of the facts they currently know and have a hard time accepting another humans description of all the information.

It is so difficult to filter bro science and botany science. If I started talking about cars and you only drive a car because it’s transportation, you won’t really hear what I am saying when I explain how your vtc actuator works and cam lobe crossover works. I think it is like this and it’s a combination of devotion and ability to gain complex concepts when you know little to none about something that has multiple components that correlate to one another for a specific outcome.

I’ve gotten other growers upset talking about the specificness of effects on plant growth depending on what we do to them. Usually, when Light Limit Rule is even said, it blows their brains out. Of course the animosity comes from individuals that cannot look beyond the “I just water them and grow weed”. I believe they mean to say “I can’t absorb that information, right or wrong, it would alter everything I know about growing and it might infringe on my current ability to grow the weed I already do”. Simply closed minded to become better. And the conclusion I also get is that they are not as adamant about growing the best weed possible, they are simple and want some bud to smoke. For gods sake I have people telling me I try to hard because I have a fully automated environment setup. To me I simplified a complex challenge growers face, to them it’s too much work. But they complain they get damp towel taste in their bud, and the excuse I hear is always “I don’t spend a lot of time Fing with my plants like you do”. No, you need improvement. People hate being sub par and being told how to correct it. They just don’t care enough….as much as you do.

These kind of people are everywhere and if they don’t learn or decide for themselves what they are doing, they never will. And they will only hear what they want to hear. They argue on a basic level, out of ignorance. They want to talk about their shitty grass they are growing with wet towels to increase humidity and gripe that you spend $ for proper equipment.

But we have to be humble when others are being basic and putting down good information, education. Or at least a nudge to look a little deeper. They won’t. So we have to stay vigilant and help who we can and it shows who has the drive to seek their greatest potential. The ones that resist and talk smack have envy and don’t know how to express it except anger and resistance.

Long explanations have purpose when talking about complex things. In order for someone to truly gain anything from them they must listen and be retaining information. But the problem is that there is so much information, even someone giving the information it can be stressful. Especially when you know a lot, because there are so many IF statements that come along with growing. You simply can’t educate without writing a whole book, if the person you are talking to doesn’t know how to use Google to cross check information and apply it to their current understanding. It has to make sense.
Joe Rogan episode with Terrance and Eric Weinstein. Perfect example. Terrance simply can’t be humble and accept that 1x1=1, he keeps arguing with a math guru that you have 1 dollar in one hand and 1 in the other, if you multiply them, you actually have 2 dollars.

There is a prime example of inability to accept hard truth and what you think can be true, although if you were to alter math and 1x1 did equal 2 then all our knowledge of math and our every calculations would be incorrect and need revamped and redone. Thats not going to happen. It is what it is.

That is truly how difficult it is to turn down the people stuck on a belief that they challenge a world of knowledge in hopes to change something that doesn’t need change and has been figured out already. We have a lot of Terrances out there and it makes it difficult to help people. Because we seriously don’t know what the hell we are talking about, we only know how we applied that information and made it work.
You sometimes have to explain it like the person knows nothing, which Eric ends up doing, breaking it down. With cannabis, you’d have to do the same thing, break it all down. And we all know that takes years to do because it will take experiencing things to get it down growing cannabis. It’s tough, it’s a long road learning, listening, making mistakes. It isn’t something you can teach. If someone is successful, they may block all information out in the future. Just as Terrance couldn’t let go of 1x1=2 argument.

Let me be clear. Sometimes I am a Terrance, and it takes a mistake or failure before I get the light bulb. Even though I’ve read it before and seen it, it still sometimes takes failure on our own to finally realize you just didn’t listen 2 months ago when that dude said xyz and you didn’t listen, because in the back of your head, youve done it that way all along and no ill effect. Until epiphanies happen.

Like, don’t steal that candy you have the cash in your pocket. But you do it anyways because it was easy to slip it in your Jnco jeans rear pocket and nobody would ever see the bulge. 😂 until you get busted by the cameras leaving the store. Oh yeah, they have cameras don’t they. Shit! Failure to analyze all possibilities and to understand there is a better way, pay for it. Much like starting from seed all over again, you go to jail for a month and a year probation and you wasted all that time and $ to the system (nutrients). When you could have just paid 5 minutes of labor to pay for it with cash, or to simply take that advise.
It seems this simple to the ones who understand all aspects of things and peering in from above. It’s always easier to give the right advise and never follow it yourself.
I believe this to be the reason some become reluctant and defensive. They think You talk too much and therefore don’t really know what you’re talking about. But they are just bad listeners.

I blame that on momma and daddy for not beating asses enough and catering to them. You are a winner no matter what, keep failing, you are doing so good! Here is a medal even though you lost. I tell my kid when he losses a soccer game, while the coaches are screaming we are all winners, “You lost, that means you need to get better and practice”. I don’t blow smoke other than cannabis. Poor generational guidance. It has been going on since millennials have been in existence. It affects problem solving and identifying when improvement is needed. Shit takes work my son, nothing is easy unless you stop caring.

To me seed, light, and soil are 3 major components you can't screew up on.
So, when I here people say, they have old seeds they're using, or they don't know what they are genetically, or know if there fem or male, it tells me they don't listen. So, to anyone that wants to reinvent the wheel, atleast get the big 3 correct !

I consider myself very good at indoor, but I tell you what, I learn something every gro ! This gro I have is perfect, but looking at it long enough, I found something I can do better next gro. My point is you never stop learning.

I just get frustrated when I point blank tell someone, it all starts with the seed, and a week later, they're complaining about germination because, they used 50 year old seeds ! Or, growing a plant for 8 weeks and find out it's a male. Or, plant a seed and not even know what strain it is. 🙄. Each strain has its own requirements. It helps to know if it likes humidity or not ! Or, over hear someone telling a rookie, that you shouldn't veg more than 6 weeks. 🙄. Excuse me but I do 8 weeks, why 6 weeks I asked. No answer. It can be irritating when people don't listen, but it is what it is. It ain't easy growing weed. But, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Here's a reason why six weeks that i use. Because my tent is a 3x3 floor and if i grow photos i learned by MY OWN experience that 3 in 3gal. pots are MY max. for healthy grow. If i veg longer the plants grow to big for my space, I can't train them as well. Every person must learn what works for them. Why be so pithy? WoW guess what.......I can also grow 2 photos in 5gal and veg for 8wks or longer.

I will tell you just from perspective of almost 50 year old woman that it seems weird and pitiful that you don't have time or will to help somebody but you waste hours to complain about them in this thread 👎

And what people do with their plants, how long they veg them, where they keep them, if they want to classify your advise as worth taking or full of shit, do they smoke them or make suppositories out of them or just make flower crowns from it- it's all their own business, not yours 🤟

The only reason I asked about 6 weeks, was your perspective on it. Not to judge you. I was trying to get your ideas on it. You don't have to be so angry about it ! Next time I won't ask your thought process !

I do have time. I've talked about germination 50 times. I've talked about the importance of seeds. You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make him drink. I get that. And, I don't care if you stick your plants where the sun don't shine. Last time I checked , I have the 1st amendment, which I served to protect. So, I will speak when I want to.
Have a good day !

I have the impression that people have become lazy. It is easier to ask a question that has already been asked 100 times, than to use the website's search mode or gogolize their problem.

It is really hard to get or give proper advice. I grow living organic. I think that maybe 4 or five guys on here grow this way. It often get confused with old super soil ways. This is why you will hardly ever see me asking question. Also why you will very rarely see me answering a dwc or hydro question.
