Oh Newb.....I can SO relate!

Having different plants in so many different stages has been super challenging for me (and the height differences ) I've pushed, banged, shoved these lights around so much trying to accommodate each plant right. It's a miracle they all still work. Especially the blurple panels, lol. Probably doesn't help that I have a touch of OCD lol

I'm intrigued w/ your controller.....I have lights/fan on a timer, but it'd sure be nice to incorporate the humidifier/dehumidifier adjustments into the mix. I've found AC products to be really nice. I'm using the AC Infinity self-watering pot bases (for the first time) this run and I am beyond impressed !

Good luck with your grow ! off to look up what the "Black Sugar" strain is all about.......

It’s an indica that turns almost black during late flower. I’m pretty sure it helps with sleep. If you click on my name you can look up some of the pics I have from it.
I can’t wait to try out the ai feature. Everything in my tent is ac infinity. I have the self watering bases but haven’t tried them yet. I don’t know how I’ll clean it once the roots start growing through the pot into the base.
Let me know if you need anything for your tent. I have controllers, humidifiers, heaters, fans, lights, a grow room monitor.lol I have an extra 4 port ac infinity controller also. It’s not the ai version but it is wifi compatible. Everything but the humidifier was used for only one season. The inkbird controllers are brand new never used. Before I got my tent kit I had a closet I used. Everything worked out great I just wanted to get all ac infinity equipment.
Feel free to reach out with any questions. Happy growing!!

Not really, kinda hoping for something with a little lift.....been consuming too much OG as of late. Not only that but I've just discovered how different terpenes affect my mood in different ways !

That's why this round I have 5 autos ( I harvested the purple kush a few days ago, so 4 still going) and all 5 are different strains. I'm gonna try and keep a journal and hone down on those specific terpenes that are beneficial to my mood/mind/perspective etc

I definitely "feel" a difference when the flower is organic....I buy organics at the dispensary I like. The problem there has been sporadic availability. Also, is it just me or is a 'proper cure' all of a sudden unnecessary? doesn't seem like anything I've received lately has been cured much (if at all) ?

I quit buying anything flower from the stores. They’ll lie straight to your face about what the weed is and what they have or have not put on it. I’ll still eat the gummies and tabs and stuff lol. But the weed just sucks in my opinion. I’ve bought “top shelf” $65 dollar 8ths (Claiborne) and the shit made me paranoid for an hour and then I wasnt even high! That’s about all the store weed is good for, at least around here. I was getting some stuff from an old timer in my area and it was great! Sativa leaning in my opinion but was high for hours and then after that I could actually sleep. I think whatever you end up growing you’ll be pleasantly surprised organic or not that it’s hands down better than any store bought weed EVER! : )

Yeah, this is very borderline as I'm for sure South of 45th, definitely not idea conditions here. But, I've done 2 outdoor runs here in Michigan with good results (3 really cause I did 2 runs one year). That said, I really battle bugs, mold & mildew. The last outdoor battle was tough which is how I ended up w/ a tent. Now that I've used a tent? I want to go back outdoors!

I also get very emotionally attached to my plants.....I'm going to really think it through today and order a 20 gallon cloth pot (about how much soil I can mix w/ current amendments)----- or figure out a way that I can protect a plant in the ground.

If I can't do the latter---I'll do the former. Hey, how did your grape pie turn out in the end?

I started off with the intent of doing indoor growing, got my shed all set up with a light and everything and then I stopped and said wait a minute, why am I paying for this shit when I have the ultimate grow light outside? And that was when I shifted my strategy, before I started, and decided to use the sun as much as I could and use the shed for when the sun can't get the job done. So now for year round growing with photos I use the shed for supplemental light and the only time of year I don't use it at all is mid May to mid July.

As for the Grape Pie, I'll let you know how it goes, here is a current shot. Also included a shot of the garden so you can see she was the only problem child. I was planning to flip some plants on the Solstice just to be an asshole and so now I'm contemplating letting her just chunk up in flower that small with the other three I was planning to flip. I've got a good clone of her to complete a full summer run so I really have nothing to lose.

I realize it's different state to state but buying from the dispensary is fine if you can find a brand you can trust. I almost exclusively seek out a brand called Eighth Brother that's available on the shelves in California. Nothing super dank about their weed. It's organically grown under the sun on a family run farm up in Mendocino County (Emerald Triangle).

It smokes good, you know what you're getting, and their prices are dynamite. I get half ounces for about $40. The dank stuff, some of it gives me the willies over weird smells and tastes that seem to be derived by synthetic nutrients... Hard to describe, full of flavor and aroma but somehow leaving me with a sense it's missing something essential in that taste and smell, maybe it's those earthy notes a good soil will give you or something.

I think on top of what you said a lot has to do with strain and lineage also. But about the soil… I’ve started going down the deep rabbit hole and I’m about 93% convinced organic living soil will make any two identical strains “better” (don’t come at me) than synthetics, I’m talking in sense of what you said. Theirs a connectedness a good outdoor has, but it seams a lot has to do with what microbes and biological stuff you have living in your soil. Apparently you could split even the same strain (clone) further in end results by having different biology in each plants soil! Blew my mind! some great videos on it out there : )

But as far as trusting goes, that’s definitely an individual thang and to each their own for the sake of folks who truly need some smoke and can’t get the medical or have zero means to grow a decent crop to help them. The stores are absolutely a godsend. And I do appreciate the farmers out there who hold true the ethics and morals in an other worldly unethical and ill morally corrupt industry. I checked the brand you mentioned and I’d be willing to give them a try : )

I’m just glad things are getting to the point for me where I haven’t had to hit the store up for months in regard to flower. And I hope everyone here can achieve that or something close : ) there’s nothing like it : )

What’s going on with the white bleaching of the leaves?

Medicine went downhill here after rec went legal here, the trusted brands included. One state over from California. The state does testing, there shouldn’t be any additives. I posted a picture on this very thread of a California grown top shelf bud that I got wet and it leaked red water/ dye that was sold here at a dispensary. Wtf is that red dye that tests didn’t catch?

The longest day of the year is a week away! What are you gonna do, light the thing for the rest of the summer?

I have to supplement where I'm at to prevent early flower. Low latitude combined with a tall treed forest surrounding, my days are never more than 13 hrs at the longest.

I have had the same issue last year had an auto with photos. 4 week mark separated the flowering auto from the photos .. I'm a inside under light till they space out. Which is usually at the 4 week mark for me . Week three I'm usually adding in daylight hours putting them outside during the day , and later at 7 pm supplement with the light , Till like 9 pm cause down here I'm lucky to get 14 hours daylight. My photos usually don't flower till 90 day mark. I have one now that's testing me . She is 45 days old. Has hairs in a spot , however I planted a month later this year . So less time in veg basically . Flowering seems to happen for me same time each year regardless of when I plant it . For me longest day is on June 20 with 14 hours Daylight. They will all head towards flowering soon. I would say if you have 15 hours , run with it . Especially at 4 weeks. I got all mine last year to the 2nd week of September outside in containers with less than 14 hours after mid June . They were big guys too. I wish I could have gone longer , but the last two hurricanes kinda stopped that from happening.
