Hi guys was just wondering if anyone could give me some help.

I am currently using a 60x60x120 cm (2x2) give or take

Using 3 gal pots how many plants can you grow in there and still maintain.

Lot of ppl on web say as many as 4

I tried 2 last time just wondering if anyone has any opinions or a definitive answer lol

I only grow autos

It depends.
You can cram 4 3 gallon pots and keep them close together and train them for dense grow but you will wind up having to concentrate your flowers to prolly 6-10 main buds. It would look like a crown of colas x 4
Or you could do one and spread it out. Wait late to top and fill a tent with one plant
Big note on one big plant. Any issues with watering nutes or lights that stalls an auto even a little will fail on any yield
For smaller pots and sog or one cola plants coco is usually preferred. Root problems are less with the multiple feeds to waste systems.

There's no definitive answer without knowing how big your autos get, which is a function of a lot of things including genetics, grow style, and (especially) grower skill. I think most newer growers could fit a lot of plants in there, but then you look at someone like Bill Ward or Autopotamus, who grow autos so big that fitting one would be a challenge.

4 wet 3 gallon pots will give you a humidity nightmare in a 2 by 2. That's not even counting the foliage from the 4 plants. Your tent could veg 4 but maybe flower 2. I would stick with one to start.

Agree with the humidity issues in the 2x2. I had 1 plant in a 3 gallon pot which I topped 7x and filled the space completely. Humidity was a constant battle and also required LST to separate all the colas. 1x would be my recommendation using this method.

Given you only grow autos though I imagine you could go 2 maybe 3 using SOG?

4 humidity laden pots could be under the false floor with just the plants sticking out. Spit the zones up. Kinda like a DWC buckets does.

Hey! For a 60x60x120 cm tent with 3-gallon pots, 2 plants is usually ideal for autos to give them enough space and airflow. You could try 3 or even 4, but it might get crowded and affect growth. Better to keep it a bit less packed for healthier plants and easier maintenance.

It’s not really going to matter if you have 3-4 small plants or 1 bigger plant. You will probably yield about the same.
