The easiest way to know when to harvest an auto-flowering plant is to wait until the fan leaves have yellowed and died, at this point the plant is at its peak and its time to harvest.
If you have a jewelers loupe or a microscope then you can have a look at the trichomes and see if they are ready. You can tell by their colour if they are ready. I have put a trichomes reference chart at the back of this book. I like to harvest at around 20% amber
If they are ready now all you need to do is trim away all the leaves and start drying the plant
Do not flush now; your plant has a long way to go, good luck!Hi team,
I know the rules of thumbs up for pre-harvest is7 - 10 days flushing for coco.
I'm in 4th week of flowering , autoflowering

Is it a good time to flush or i should wait ?
I'm aiming for 100% cloudy.
I have a carson mcbrite 120x microscope but it's hard to use it...

Yes at least, your buds have not even swelled up and filled out fully yet, and you want to check trichomes on the bud not on the sugar leaves because sugar leaves ripen faster than budAnother 3-4 weeks?
What a shame the stress of flushing messes up new growers. It made me think like that too. Too bad clearing out the pot of nutrients forces the plant to push its stored nutrients to the flowers instead. Lessening yield and likely quality. But the myth lives on.
Those flowers are not even half way done. When most all the white pistils have turned brown/orange then you still wait for them to die back as all the calyx swell.
Then its time to check trichomes for cloudy and not on the bud leaves but the calyx.
Cutting early is why most weed sucks. Short light thin high followed by a headache.

Calyx is where the pistils are point out right? If yes, i'll need to find a way to zoom in cause i have both jewel loupe and carson microbrite 120x . It's just hard to view this thing with the microscope. With the loupe, i can only see the small hair. The picture above was taken with the loupe.
Buds swell , noted.. So mine is just a starting point i assume. I cant find any google image of buds swollen :( Any indicator?

Yes they will really start to swell now and get a better yield, keep keeping with nutes only ,no bud or flower nutes, until yellow fans, don't worry so much about the bud, cause it's gonna swell, just chill and keep up with the watering, and enjoy watching them swell.
Look like all the bud porn around here.
Just harvested this week.
I'd leave that for a couple more weeks. Your pot wont degrade to crap overnight, the process of ripening takes weeks. That bud still looks like its growing and swelling. It could gain another 50% in weight over a couple weeks and the flavour and aroma will change a lot. In a good way.
I'd say when you think it's absolutely finished, you cant wait any longer and you're freaking out thinking the trichs will go amber and it will go past peak potency, you are probably still 2 weeks away. I'd give it another 10 days or so of 1/4 strength feedings before rinsing the coco and giveing them another 5 days-ish of straight water.
