Well found out wifey going out of town Sunday. So decided I would wait till then to transplant and do a little tent maintenance and clean up.

My tent smells of fresh manure since mixing up the natures living soil.

I bought the 5 pound bag since it is 1 pound per 5gallons. I did not weigh the bag before hand. I am about 98% confident I mixed up 1 pound per container. There was enough left over for at least 1 or 2 top dressings.

My original plan was to grow autoflowers so I went with their autoflower concentrate. After i inadvertently killed them with PH issues and a grasshopper got it and wrecked havoc. Well for this season that made 17 auto flowers I had gone through. I was tired of them and their extremely fickleness.

So I had some photoperiod genetics I wanted to grow. Decided to do a 12/12 from seed. I just want to keep this grow manageable.

Now to the point I had already spent the money on the autoflower concentrates.

Maybe I should get around to answering the actual question.
So I am using a combination of the autoflower concentrate, plus their Girl Flower Power for photos and soil revival.

NLS has good products, imo. I use the Katies vegan mix and the flower power. Also, their soil revival product.

I am excited for the lights to come on and get transplanted.

I really do think I have things about 90% in place for this to be a good run.

If this all goes as planned and works out well. I believe next run I might do the regular mix on a couple to see how it compares to autoflower mix.

I have messaged back and forth with them a few times. Their recommendation was to go with the autoflower concentrate I already had and add in flower power and revival. I respected that he did not try to up sale me to the “photo” mix.

Transplanting Done, Maintenance done. I’m now getting better airflow out of my window ac unit. Temps already treading down.

Installed a soil moisture sensor.

Started a new tray of micro greens.

Room sure for more crowded!

Some lessons learned while transplanting.

I watered before so the soil would be more compact when trying to get out of the cup. The issue is I was super impatient and did not really give it time to soak in. This lead to the soil basically falling apart in my hands.

They all made it safely but rushing did set me up for some failure.

Day 17 12/12 from seed - photo drop.

Light is about 18 inches away ( eyeballing that lol)
Light level is set on 3
Using protone app I am getting ppfd of 420-475.depending on plants spot.

I have been using only RO water. The consensus on Reddit is that I should have already been adding cal mag. Any thoughts or opinions? I think I will add some next watering in a few days.

Stems are also looking kinda small. I would like to start some extremely light training but right now the stalk is not ready. Turned my oscillating fans up from 4 to 6.

Last photo is my last autoflower from my first outdoor grow. I think she has 10-20 days to go.

The Averages are looking good chart is for past 24 hours.

Questions about LST.

The 2 junky 99s I will feel comfortable starting LST prolly on Friday.

What I don’t know. Is can I keep up the LST still it starts throwing pre flowers and starts the stretch? Then I am under the impression while the stretch happens stop LST let her do her thing and then resume training for optimal buds to light?

Also I do very minimal LST I basically just bend main stalk slightly and then start pushing the nodes through. Since I have to junky’s and 2 boss hog I will try 1 and leave the other Christmas tree style.

The AI keeps running the tent smoother and smoother now that it has all the proper inputs. Once buds actually begin to develop I will prolly add a dehumidifier so I can keep it sub 50%.

Playing around with adding an autoflower to play with. I have a fuck ton of seeds.

Need to do a little more reorganizing just so that watering is less inconvenient.

Did a little rearranging so that watering days won’t require me to move everything out.

This morning I kicked the light up to lvl 4 bringing ppfd into 5-550 range. My plan is for basically half the day at lvl 3 and then second half at lvl 4 for a few days. Just trying to slowly introduce more light intensity with out causing stress.

To me the girls are looking happy.

Well it was bound to happen. First signs of an issue is brewing. All the girls have the start of some yellow dots (It’s more copper color than yellow upon second look) on the leaves. That is a really bad description.

I will post pics. But I have indulged a little tonight and my balance is off so looks it’s the best pics I got lol.

My guess some sort of deficiency since all they have had is RO water. I have cal mag mixed up. Soil is still pretty moist as of tonight. I am thinking worst case in the morning I will just give a light watering of 8 ounces per plant just to get some cal mag in the soil. Then on next full watering I will add in some soil revival at a light dose. I prolly should have done all that at time of transplant and I believe I will incorporate that in the next photo grow.

I have been using Royal Queen Seeds, Brothers Grimm Seeds, Multiverse Beans. I do not have a seed that cost more than 12 dollars. I pretty much only bought stuff that was on sale. I was not looking to grow the latest and greatest most expensive seeds.

So this morning i think i gave them a little cal mag... Long story but i am pretty sure i mixed it in the water. It was early....

So the first batch i made of cal mag i made it up before i went to bed. Tested the PH and it was at 7..... I am not sure what is going on with my water or if it is my ph pen. Although i calibrated it and then tested to make it was correct. Anyways made up a new batch and im like 90% sure i put it in but the water ph tested right at 6.5 which i would normally expect the cal mag to drop my water into the sub 5.7 range. I have been needing to add a back up ph meter so i think i will take some birthday money and get me a new grow toy. Anyways i gave them some water with maybe something in it maybe not.

Sometimes i wonder about myself lol.

Anyways raised the light ever so slightly turned it up to 4. Fine tuned plant positions. Everyone is getting right at 490-510 ppfd. Will leave everything set for a few days and see how it goes.

I am feeling good about starting some LST on the junkies this weekend.

I’ve been using string seed company. I’ve been buying a lot of auto flower seeds, sour diesel, Acapulco gold blue cheese, and they are all usually six seeds for $35 which is not bad. I guess after I’ve been checking other prices.

Yeah I bought a lot of Fast Buds Stuff. When i thought everything was going to have to be outdoors Autoflowers made sense.

As my skills continue to improve I might buy a special pack of seeds here and there.

I still have drying issues to work out. My Drying Tent I can not keep cool enough during the summer heat. Temps range from 78-85.

Had my first disaster. Setup my lung room but I was a dumbass. At midnight and way too high to be working on the setup. I grabbed the wrong portable AC unit. The one I grabbed requires a drain setup. Well I thought I had grabbed our newer one that did not need a drain.

Well I flooded both the lung tent and main tent and half the garage.

Spent my day cleaning that mess up.

Harvested 4 outdoor plants. 3 of which the colas were just full of mold and bud rot. I should have harvested 10 days ago. Lots of lessons learned. I left way to much decaying plant matter on the plant and last 10 days have been bouts of severe thunderstorm burst followed by intense heat and humidity.

The only plant that was ok was Dark Matter. She was only at 75 days but. But she was pretty much 80% cloudy, no real amber. Plant could really have used another 10 days. But it has rained for past 2 days super heavy and losing the other 3 to mold I figured better safe than sorry.
