Congrats on a great return.! I've yet to harvest mine. One is in order for harvest, later today. The other I'm going to push a little longer. She's almost there, but coming weather dictates how much longer she'll take. It changes all the time in NE Ohio, it's our toughest month for outdoor growers.I am all for sortition/aleatoric democracy
I'm estimating somewhere between 20-30 ounces this year, after eyeballing it.
And keep it dark....as possible. Maybe that has to do with sunlight, just what I've always understood and done, same as curing and storage.Congrats on a great return.! I've yet to harvest mine. U had some really nice looking plants, by the way.Loved the swaying colas , I caged mine in anticipation of the storms/tornadoes we typically get here, and aftermath of hurricanes running up the east Coast.
Don't get too high, trying to smoke that all yasef, now.. Enjoy, brother...ya earned it.
I got a fan, humidifier, and hygrometer in the dry/cure room, currently at 67F/54%RH (its hard to get RH high in CO). Also complete dark in there... just did a quick trim of any yellow leaves and I'm going to leave that room be for a couple days. Here's the remains of the big one!It helps to have some air circulation in your drying area with a fan! I don’t know what you have set up there! Getting closer to the end!don’t want to screw it up now!
hellllllll yeahh!!!Just chopped the 3 main stems of the big one... and the small one. I had to do it a bit earlier than expected, still pretty late at night. I think it happened right at the height of the (almost) full moon. Currently drying in a converted bathroom at 65F/50-60%RH. Still have a number of lower sections of the big one still maturing too
That is mold! So keep your eyes peeled!Alright... so I think I have to harvest the remainder fairly soon. I was gone for a couple days and when I came back a couple pieces of the buds were dying. That being said its developed a nice purple tinge on most of it. I'm going to estimate about 2-4 more ounces from what I have left.
I am not sure about trying to turn what I have left into live resin; i might have enough to experiment with though.
There be some hash making in them there hills!!!!Alright... initial harvest is done. By the sizes I've previously alloted i have about 19 ounces from the big one and 3 ounces from the small one (and still have some weighty branches growing). So far so good. RH in jars is right at about 55-60%. Any more advice is appreciated
Dry trimming total time has been about 14-16 hours so far. In addition to all the flower the trim amount was significant- i only kept bigger nugs (~22OZ). I'll make bubble hash another day though, i spent like 8 hours trimming today
Yep... in an effort to avoid any further budrot I took all the affected colas as well as hand picked all the crystallized material off the plant I could see- then promptly vacuum sealed it and tossed it in the freezer. There be some hash making in them there hills!!!!
As soon as I noticed that I dropped the idea of harvesting at dawn and just harvested as fast as I could lol. That is mold! So keep your eyes peeled!
