Anyone know what this is? Every grow I do I seems to get this leaf problem usually quite early on into flower. I've tried adding more nutes, less nutes plus adding calmag and it makes zero difference. What's weird is that it seems to occur more frequently on bits of the plant that are under the middle strongest part of my light yet it doesn't happen at the top of the plants necessarily. My light is over 2 feet away and isn't even on full power either. It's not a huge deal because the plants still seem to produce decent weed yield but it is confusing

What are you using as nutes for flower? There is an imbalance somewhere causing this. Potassium or calcium out of whack is my guess, but that's a shot in the dark without more info on your grow.

I'm curious to why potassium and not calcium. To me the uniformity of the brown spots indicate calcium deficiency. The plants look a maybe a little crowded are you maintaining good RH and temps and airflow?

it’s not a potassium deficiency it’s a classic early calcium deficiency…

I do have calmag but tbh I gave the one that looks worse calmag in first few weeks of 12/12 and all throughout the time I added it these symptoms started. So I stopped.

I think I saw maybe I or 2 tiny little brown spots on a few leaves so thought I'd be proactive and add calmag.

Since you have been adjusting nutrients I'm wondering if you have poor airflow or are letting your humidity get too high. The plants aren't really that crowded but it could make the other issues worse.

Yeah it's a touch crowded. Temps are like 23 in day and 20 at night. 60 percent humit

Could I still thin them out a bit even though they are just over 3 weeks into 12/12?

You need to raise your temperature and lower your humidity. If your plants are not transpiring properly that can cause calcium issues.

Calcium Def. at week 1 or 2 of flower can be a really hard thing to avoid. I have been dealing with it for years. I have researched the shit out of it and I really have only came up with some bandaids per say. Grow More no N Cal Mag is the easiest way to fix it but it is already too late. The plants demand for Calcium is the highest the first 2 to 3 weeks of flower. With the Grow More I have used as much at 10 mills per gallon and it will take care of the problem. I have seen it in soil, coco and hydro. You need between 120 and 150 PPM at the 500 scale to keep it from happening. It is worse with LED lighting. And to add fuel to the fire I am not even sure if this is the real problem. Dr Daniel Fernandez had a post on his blog that lowering the calcium content can sometimes take care of the problem. Calcium is such a problem because of the antagonist relationship it shares with P and Magnesium. If you give the plant too much it can lock out the P and Mag. Hence why they package Cal and Mag together. Which I still do not completely understand how they do this.
