Another First Time Grower

What's up everyone this is my first post and first grow. I'm really late at making this so just gonna give some infor mation and post some pics to get up to date. Not sure what my goal of posting is maybe just get some feedback. Been a med patient since 08 and decide it's time to grow my own meds.

Everything is compliant with ca prop 215

Grow is in my garage connected to my house
Built a 4x4x6ft box from scrap wood I got from work spent maybe 20 bucks on some paint and hinges and hook hangers.
Painted inside flat white construction plastic as a barrier on the bottom.
4" hurricane exhaust fan
4"can filter

Vegged with a 600 (300w) led light around 6 weeks from time I got clones
Last week of veg switched to 400w hps

Right now got five clones going
1- LA cookies
1- platinum euphoria
1- Yoda OG
2- crystal clear og X purple urkle
All except yoda from one dispensary
Yoda from separate dispensary a week later because I killed one platinum euphoria originally had two of those as well one. ( had a heater on next to them left for two hours came back heater had cranked up and luckily only one wilted over and could never recover)

Anyways as of now I'm currently 15 days into flower and loving watching these ladies grow and learning anout the process.

Had them in a little box I built at first and still have for starter. Were under a 30watt or something light from Home Depot until I got my led. Transplanted them and put them into the 4X4 box. No nutrients for the first three weeks I had them just what was in the fox farm soil.

Started have some worries at week 4 or so, either a deficiency from no nutrients or these ladies didn't quite like this new led light. Still not sure just got some nutrients and began to light feed.

Week 5 veg still not sure if having deficiencies or light burn just gonna continue feeding and remove as much necrotic tissue as I can

Right is yoda og so far biggest one. At this point I have topped all accept yoda once a few weeks back yoda has just been bent over on top node

End week 5 early week 6 looking nice and good recovering from whatever we had going but now seeing little bit of gnats :/ got some go gnats from the hydro shop and some sticky sheets lets hope for the best. Also took a few cuttings and stuck straight into soil to play around with.

Finally got 400w hps light and ballast from a buddy and the girls are showing signs of maturity just in time let's let them get used to their new light

Where to start,,,,,,,,
They look really dry
Never let flower plants dry out
Your rh is probably super low
Do u have any fresh air coming back in
Always flush after nuting twice
Lights 24" away from tops minimum
Start with this check list

Flipped the light cycle to 12-/12 on a Thursday I think late week 7? Wanted to go sooner but had the problems along the way. So far just been feeding with nutrients once a week and watering maybe once or twice in between as needed

Oh ya got them into 3gal smart pots for their final home. Looking healthy not really seeing any gnats anymore! and some of the cuttings rooted :) that's about up to date with this one will update regularly now sorry for flooding the posts.

thanks for the quick reply I appreciate the feedback.

Yes they did dry not sure which pics you meant from that but when I saw first sign of gnats I stopped watering for about a week to prevent a breeding ground :/

Also I did move the light farther away.
My humidity usually doesn't drop below 45% and not above 70%

For fresh air I've just got a hole cut out with a small USB fan mounted over it blowing air and then with my exhaust fan it seems to be sucking air through but I've been getting stuff as I can afford it next is a better intake.

Week 4 flower things are looking nice just feeding full schedule of general organics go box and added floralixious plus to the mix. Open for any other suggestions. Just a normal watering today.

A few pics of the clones I took they are taking off just need time to set up the veg area and transplant them. Also a few more clones I'm playing around with and a few more clones I got from the shop.
Got a GG#4 and an orange cookies in the solo cups and a seedling going somewhere of a gsc seed I got
From a bomb shop batch. I stocked up on the sees while I could get them from the weed got like 30 in all from a 1/4 of buds super good buds I would have been disappointed it was seedy if I didn't think to keep them because it was a good strain and I love cookies! Anyway just a lil update hope all is well on the farm!

Week 6 update
Just water today did a little pruning on some leaves but that's about it just letting them ride feeding once a week water the other days.

Also got the clones transplanted into bigger pots and a little bigger chamber.

Never finished updating this thread, sorry to anyone who followed along or stumbles upon it. Ended up finishing the cycle didn’t get the best yield but to be expected from a first grow for me. Learned a lot, the crystal clear x purple urkle came out really nice! The rest kinda ok but it was smoke none the less.

Ended up tearing that setup down, started to get too hot in the garage and didn’t quite have the resources to battle it. Was away from the farm for a while but glad to be back. Ended up going the tent route this time instead of diy, saved a lot of time and no complaints so far. Haven’t really logged the current grow, getting close to harvest. once the tent is open I plan to journal the next grow a little better just to have and look back on. Will probably start a new post for that but for now here’s a few photos of what I’ve got going now.

I can’t tell if the leaf colors are strain related or I’ve made some errors along the way. Most likely the latter. Any thoughts, advice, input, etc. is appreciated.

plants were picked up from a not so reputable non licensed shop in the area at the end of October. Vegged longer than I wanted to as a buddy who got plants from the same place said he had mites so wanted to make sure I didn’t go into flower with them. I think he may have got his mites from all the gear he got from Craigslist as I never did see any. Flipped 1/10/21

other is supposed to be thin mint Cookies.

Just about time to finish up this thread and start the next, this one is a bit old and I’m ready to post again.

Chopped those plants above 4/4/21 they went about 83 days

Hung dry for six days, brown paper bag for one more day. Stems were dry to the snap.
jarred and burping daily for now. Nugs have a nice density to them and didn’t dry out to the point they crumble. Happy with the results though I honestly haven’t any smoked myself yet probably won’t smoke until about June. Debating having a puff for 4/20 we will see. I did give some to my brother to sample he gave two thumbs up and said they are fire so I think I did alright. All and all got about an ounce and a half off each plant. Not the best but that’s ok one day I’ll get it down. I know some things not to do for this next run got some things I’m excited about going on for that. Here’s a few nug pics finally.
