Kinda wanting to see the results of the experiment first so far it seems very very promising! I think I found out how to store energy up like a spring wound up so that once you flip you can allow it to release into bud growth. Just need to see if what I am seeing is correct but when I allowed it to go a little without doing what I was doing it appeared to release the energy into vegetive growth. It is something a lot of people do already just the way I do it seems to be doing something crazy. I am just using the plant hormones and focusing them though.

I personally from the looks of it think it will stretch quite a lot. Do you have a trellis net or 2 handy?

Agreed! Other things you can do are:

Limit Phosphorus

Get your day and night temps as close to each other as possible

Increase your fan speed to strengthen the stems

they gained all the slender when I let it go a couple weeks without my training. I had to take hundreds of branches out that were slinger a literal large black trash bag.

Already running low p, have fans at full and am using full sized standing fans maybe I need to add a few more! Day and night temps are with in 12 degrees they were with in 8 but it’s been going up. I think I will change lights on to night since it’s getting hot now!

84 under LEDs is good. The leaf temps will be lower. 80-82 is better even though it seems like such a small difference. It really depends on the humidity.

When you flip just put some space heaters set at 78 for the first two weeks. After that you can ditch them unless you live in an area with a lot of powdery mildew.

So I have trimmed the other one out ! What a pain took 4.5 hours and pounds and pounds of branches and plant material later it’s still thick but a lot thinner than it was. I have a big black heavy duty trash bag full of branches . I went ahead and took most of it out and brought bud site away except the tip of each branch on this one too. Hope it’s the right move lol. Anyway thanks for all the support and I’ll keep updating! Here’s a pic starting a couple hours in. Made me feel like Edward scissor hands!

Tomorrow I think or might wait a couple days to bounce back a little and I have to up pot. Waiting on new fabric pots. They are beyond root locked so I am moving up a pot size.

They will really like a larger container. They will explode with growth quickly. As soon as I see they are starting to use water, and are growing, I would flip them. I wouldnt wait too long.
Id up-pot to at least 20 gallons, keep fans going 24/7, and get all the fresh air exchange possible. And blast them with light.

The other side of that coin is keeping the roots restricted will help to continue keeping a compact shape. Transplanting might also slow you down another week. Choices are nice though

I went ahead and up potted to 15 gallon, using ac infinity pots again which appears to be a lot bigger than others I think they might be 20 because it took 1.6 bags of 50l mothers earth coco perlite 70/30 and I still need a little more. I filled them high up to the lst holes in the top. Went ahead and flipped the day of because I had run out of veg nutes two days before and had to start my bloom or allow to go completely dry… but I got all my nutes now and changed to 12/12 yesterday after up potting and doing final trim at the same time. They are so did they appear to have been in effected and took it like a champ they were only stressed a couple hours by the time the lights came on they were praying! I started strait bloom and additives instead of slowly adjusting from veg to bloom nutes. I am using connoisseur coco bloom, bud factor x, bud ignitor, flora flex cal mag, voodoo plus tablets, bud candy, armor silica from Gh, sensizym, and will be starting b52 and big bud in two weeks when I drop bud ignitor. For the second half of flower I will be using Sensi professional powder instead of the connoisseur coco.

You'll get tighter internodes stronger branches and less preflower stretch by increasing the dark period a few hours during veg. It changes the form of the plant when it gets a healthy dose of darkness. 18 hours light is on the extreme side. It's going to be a real shock to suddenly have a lot less hours of light they have adapted to in their life so far if going straight to 12-12. They are going to freak out and stretch growing stem in response for a few weeks. May be some help to glide, reducing light 30-45 minutes per week until they start flowering. Probably about 13 hours light will start some of them flowering. The damage is already done. From here out it's just damage control. You can manage.
