There is this building that used to be a grow facility and it looks like they left a whole bunch of them. I’m not familiar with growing. So they are seeds?

No. They are a growing medium. I'm sure there is a way to sterilize them in order to safely reuse them. That's stuff isn't cheap.

I always hear about people finding supplies or being given a bunch of quailty equipment ($$$$$$) from neighbors, friends, etc
Why does that never happen to me
