I'm doing top fed DWC does water level even matter if I'm doing top fed if so why?

put the water at bottom of netpot. Flip a shot glass upside down and put in middle of net pot. Fill in hydroton up to top of shot glass and set clone on top shot glass a spread roots out in a umbrela shape and fill the rest of the net pot with hydroton..
And do you not got the top feed hooked up in the pic? I see no top feed?

Yeah no I have the setup in the box still building a base rn so it's off the ground and super easy to change the water. Now why is that much water needed if I have it running over the top of the roots through the pump from my res?

The tubing for the top Feds right to the left of the red and the pumps sitting on it in the pic

@EventHorizan Interesting technique. Do you do this with all of your DWC grows? I haven't heard this one before. Nice tip!
