I purchased a new pH pin about a month ago I purchased the Apera pc60, it worked great for the first three to four weeks and now I've noticed that the reading is starting to take a lot longer to get where it needs to be sometimes even 2 to 3 minutes I've never let the probe dry out I've always kept it in the storage solution like it says anybody have any ideas what I could be doing wrong or is this just a junk pen

Clean the probe with a brush and some soap and calibrate it and give it a new batterie just to see if it changes anything.

Else i would file a refund if its that young.

I can't say whether they're junk or not but I replaced 2 probes in 4 years. When it came time for the third I gave up and started using the drops. So far 6 months no problems.

There's a soft tip that the solution passes through to collect the reading. Over time and use, the tip becomes less porous and takes longer and longer to settle on a reading the older it gets until it can't effectively take a reading. Obviously, working with RO water is going to keep those tips clear longer, and the more you're testing fertilized solutions vs clean water the faster it's going to clog.

I stock the tip but I would start with batteries.
Just like the Vivosun and ACI controller hygrometers. You will need one and it will stress you out if you don't have one.
