I think this is what I have going on… I have had humidity around 60ish but temps did get to mid 80s.. possibly the pheno just wanted lower VPD?Leaf curling can result from the stomata on the underside of the leaves opening wide. High VPD can cause it.
Maybe. I just put it out there as a possibility. Lowering the temperature and the humidity slightly might help -- something like 78º and 55% RH is worth a try. There are VPD charts on the web that are a good resource.I think this is what I have going on… I have had humidity around 60ish but temps did get to mid 80s.. possibly the pheno just wanted lower VPD?
Interesting, the black gorilla should have been stable… and the red velvet is further away from light than black gorilla, yet black gorilla has no lead curling?Yeah lollipoping will have no effect on the buds being airy. Low light conditions can make them airy however some are just like that & with the curling I would put down to being to close to the light or too hot
black gorrila is supposed to be indica they look more like sativas.
Maybe you’ve a pheno or it’s not stable being tester seeds excpect anything mind
thanks for the reply , I took some clones and am gonna give it another try next run with lower temps. The first pic I would attribute to to much light and or heat.
The stretchy one. You did fine with the defoliation IMO. Just the way she flowers. She will swell up and fill in.
Thank you, that was my gut instinct.. and you’re dead on, my light is 12-24 inches from the canopy depending on strain. Full blast 100% 800 watts… I always have the voice in my head telling me to turn down the lights, and my heart tells me to blast them with light. This is also causing the heat issue, as I can’t keep the temps below 82 with my tent wide open with the light full blast.Yeah bro science
A lot of blogs written about cannabis aren’t written by growers leading to folks coping & more bad information it’s like a mine field.
With manufacturers of lights recommending stupid distances of 12 inches away on 100% when in reality that’s gonna bleach the leaves & cause other light strsss issues.
VPD is a guide.
it doesn’t take in the plants preference factors with each plant performing differently even within the same strain.
Anyway 82-85f is way to high
The max I’d run is 80f the optimal is more around 75-77.
The leafs curling would definitely be from the heat as said each performs differently some can take more heat without freaking out to much we’re as some prefer it cooler
@LoveGrowingIt nailed it tbh
Yeah I get it we’ve all been thereThank you, that was my gut instinct.. and you’re dead on, my light is 12-24 inches from the canopy depending on strain. My biggest issue I’m having is wanting to give the plants more than they can handle: nutrients, over watering, over lighting, etc. learning to let the plants just do what they want instead of playing god…
Appreciate the tips. It is an adventure of endless learning!Yeah I get it we’ve all been there
Over loving the plants
It’s a adventure imo
Try hike that light up to 24-36” away & definitely turn it down to 75%
I tried mine once on full blast when switching from the old halide/hps it didn’t work out well.
Ever scince then I don’t go above 75%
It’s pretty much the standard not to have leds on max setting
Bro the legs on that lady! Was barely 2 ft tall when I flippedThat girl stretched like Jack and the Beanstock!
