Hey guys, first time doing DWC.
Things were fine for a couple weeks but now in mid week 3 the plant has started developing blotches on the leaves.
It’s an “El Diablo” autoflower.

Environment:
R/O water
PH has been around 5.9
Temp has been about 80.
RH has been about 70.

Nutes:
PotentSi by Ninurta
Flora Trio
Hydroguard
Nurtazyme by Ninurta
I had read autoflowers typically need fewer nutes than photoperiod. So I started with a lower doseage.
PPM was 230 but had begun rising to 280. I switched out the res to about 130 ppm.

I don’t see any pests anywhere.

Any idea what this could be?
I was thinking maybe calcium deficiency because it’s RO water, but FloraMicro has calcium.
Plus it seemed like the ppm was too high since the plant was up taking more water than nutes, so I thought maybe it was calcium excess. But I have no idea!
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated! Thanks

Seems like thrips to me…

You can use %3 H2O2 since you re still in veg phase

I used to have em a lot especially when growing in coco so invested in a reliable ozone generator i never have thrips, bugs or mold anymore

Good luck…

Looks like some kind of bug bite ? And 30 ppm is nothing even for an auto I’d bump it up a little bit and add a touch of calmag or what’s your tap water ppm ?

I'm using RO water with 0 ppm. The res ppm was 230 but jumped up to 280 on its own, so I diluted it to 130.

How much h202 do you recommend?
Will look into thrips. I haven't been able to find any bugs

I always use %3 h2o2 mixed with distilled water and the ratio is 1:1

Make sure you do foliar spraying as lights go out… also if you are using a media like coco or soil, thrips lay their eggs inside them so you gotta traeat the substrate as well

It's in deep water culture with hydroton. Is that common for thrips?
Will do an h2o2 foliar spray. I also have spinosad and organic fungicide I could apply

I believe its mostly about where you live…

I have grown in many different locations, while I was growing in the city I never had a thrips issue…

For the last 2 years I am growing in a suburb where farming is a very common practice therefore I have more thrips problems.

Yes coco and soil tends to be a good place to lay eggs but it is not the definite reason to have thrips

Think so? Seemed like it was drinking more water than eating nutes when the ppm was in the 200s...
Thus far I have not supplemented with any Cal Mag. The Flora Trio contains cal and mag, so I wasn't sure it would be necessary. Could it be Cal deficiency?
Thanks for the reply
