Baffled with ongoing growing problems.

After 30 years of indoor growing with relatively no problems, a big one started to show up about 12 weeks in vegetative. They are normally bushy, green, bigger and healthier.
Pale leaves when still less the 8 in tall, woody stems, slow growth, and very spindly.
At first I thought was, root bound, some were, some were not. Then I thought the LED was too bright, so I swapped it back to the old light.
I have just done a PH test, showing neutral, because I thought a nutrient problem.
I have had on and off, infestations of two spotted spider mites, I usually use at least 3 different sprays, and wondered if I had the mix wrong and they got a higher amount than usual?
I see small signs that the problem 'might be coming right, but I still have many stressed plants with very very low yields.

plants are hungry..
mites are more than likely not gone..
and will continue to be a problem until you deal with it properly, hence no point in continuing with these plants..

Hi, welcome to the Farm, I'm looking at possible watering problems from not letting your soil dry out enough between watering, which in turn could lead to root problems if its been going on for a while, but you've been at it a while so you should have water/feeding down............ It looks hungry though, light green in color and yellowing from the bottom up......What has happened to the fan leaves?...there doesn't seem to be any large leaves left

Neutral pH is also way too high. I think you might have a lot of calcium in that soil, which could be interfering with the uptake of other nutrients.

I would chop these and toss them. You could grow plants from seed to their size before you got these back to health.

I agree but I'm wondering if he could take cuts from it or is the plant too stressed to give clean cuts?

She is low on mag. Is there a lot of blue light in veg? What is humidity in veg?

It's worth a try, but plants in poor health usually don't clone easily. Maybe take 3-4 from each plant.

Just thinking it may be a good way for him to save the genetics if they're something special or he doesn't have fundage for seeds.

Umm, I think you misunderstood. The plants do not stay in vegetative for three months, although that can be done if you need to keep one as a mother plant.

I would imagine that with 30 years of experience you have the proper equipment to check for any pests so if that is the case and can be ruled out the only thing I can think of is something going on under the soil.

I never took any large fan leaves off. But yes, it does look like a nitrogen deficiency. Although I have used the same plant food for many years. My one other thought was. I mix my own potting soil, same as for many years. Adding in worm castings for nitrogen, but my supplier changed brands, so I now sell a product that doesn't even look like worm castings, but supposedly with a mix of nutrients. I dont have a bag to look at the list. I now have gone to another supplier to buy worm castings. I do have young plants that so far look healthy with this mix I am using. Although the test I did two days ago showed a neutral reading, if not slightly alkaline.
