I am seeing this more and more checkboard style running in larger grows, from what I am told most do it to get 2-3 grams more per plant ummm I guess when you run 1k plants its worth it.

I would really like to know if adding hps with led in a 4x4 and a 5x5 could help us home growers. From when I seen most people are running hps high in air? My guess is so the point that the two lights converge is above the plant? They just tell me its a secret when I ask.

I think its worth testing and if someone already did in smaller spaces lmk.

this the move. The thing is though, insted of the checkerboard, hps hung over the led. Im runnin it. Literally no comparison with last harvest just led, having both = growth!
This is gmo day 50! Thats a water bottle behind it

All you really need is bright white and warm white, if you add some red and IR is nice. Thats how LEDs are configured nowadays, cool white, warm white and reds. Sometimes the ocasional UV chip. So if you can get it with HPS why not, using the LEDs all for cool white is a good idea because its the most efficient chip and has the wider spectrum, more blue than red but thats what the warm white is there for. Nice set up.
