You need to do some more research on bugs that you want in your garden. The Mantis is a carnivorous bug that eat aphids, mites, gnats, and other bugs that like to feed on the actual plant. Whoever fed you the information that it's bad to have a praying mantis is your garden might be smoking some other shit.
