@Tnelz where do I find horsetail? Is it a powder? What's your doseage recipe? @Tnelz @symbiote420 @straincreation thanks for taking the time out of your day to give suggestions I sincerely appreciate it

Amazon bro. Found it a while ago been using it in my ipm and my ladies seem to love it. I follow the directions on the bag. Gave some to a friend with a far larger grow than mine and he had a pretty bad case of pm. 2 treatments and it was gone. He did break things down and clean after the treatments so that could be what helped him keep it away but it 100% wiped out them on every plant he had.

^^^I got the same stuff...... works like a charm!! My peeps in the country cut and dry fresh horsetails to make their teas with and have been using it forever. This pouch of Oscar's seems small but it's gonna last a long time!

So a bro @Azhden I believe buys horsetail powder from whole foods. Price is a little less but I believe the same process would work.

so I'm concluding mighty wash safers 3in1 and horsetail would be a not so toxic clean organic preventative. And eagle 20 avid and floramite would be a pretty toxic heavy duty combo. Am I right @Canappa @straincreation @symbiote420 @Tnelz

I figure it'd work @Pimp T, don't know how much powder to mix to get the desired effect but it's the right species of horsetail.
I'd try to get some whole and chop it up myself or some that's already cut & sifted.

Seems like the consensus for mites these days is conserve sc ?

Anyone using the hot shot pest strips with success ?

Think I got them beat but I tremble just typing it .........

Green Cleaner. Don't mistake it with green cure. It's for both of those and 100% safe. I've used it with great success.

i would have to say that thicker leaves, tend to ward away pests such as mites and such....also strain dependant because my deezyD is pm resistant even in closed room @ 90% rh lol...thrips also like other plants over her......that being said, if i was going to do a preventative, i would use more calcium and k-silicate...along with some bennies(like caps)...all in a foliar spray, but you can also add it to the rootzone also...this will create thicker more robust leaves, that will have an easier time fighting off pests and diseases...

if its for cuts your recieving, then i would say grab some spinosad, as well as some "no spidermites"......and i would make a solution and dunk the cuts in the 2-3 times days apart

Keep the humidity in check with no swings, I try keep it around 50-60%, and clean every day.

As far as products I stick to the organics, also credit @Azhden for suggesting the horsetail. Great product!

I also recommend stylet oil as a foliar once a week as part of your regular IPM program, for an all purpose defense barrier

Green clean for the win. Spray frequently, kills mites and pm and makes the leaves all shiny

Yea man. This stuff worked insanely well for me and many other people who have used it from the dro store I go to. And like I said the best thing about this stuff is it is 100% safe and simple and uncomplicated. I don't know why this stuff hasn't blown up cause it is awesome. I even think they got rid of mighty wash unless u special order it soley because of this product. Good luck man. I know how much of a bitch both ur problems can be. Both hit me at the same time as well. Both caused me almost to cut everything down from one of my sites. If u have any more questions about it don't hesitate to pm me. (No pun intended) Wish the best for u bro!!

I've always used neem oil and ProTekt to keep PM and spidermites at bay for years, and it's worked beautifully. Not only are you thickening cell walls with silica; but getting the obvious multi-purpose benefits of neem oil.

I haven't had spidermites or PM issues for many years it seems...

Some people turn away from neem, I believe, because they aren't applying it most efficiently. I've said this a thousand times, but here goes again:

Mix neem oil directly with silica at a 2:1 ratio. Strength of dose can be anywhere from 5ml to 30ml per gallon, though I've never really gone higher than 20ml as a high dose.

So for example, as a low maintenance dose, mix 10ml neem oil with 5ml silica. This will turn to a light yellow, milky like substance.

Add this to a gallon TEPID or lukewarm water for best results. Mix well. Add surfactant; yucca extract works great.

Right before lights out, turn off fans, spray underside of foliage, then spray upper side of foliage - plants will be drooping like they're thirsty if you've mixed and applied properly.

The next lights on "morning", the plants will usually be stoked, reaching for the light due to their affinity for the neem...
