Morning folks!

So this will be my first year harvesting at the quantity I have. Prior to this year year, I’ve only ever grown one girl outdoors in a 15 gallon pot.

In the past, Basic dry and cure process, hang dry, cure in mason jars.

Well, I have 4 girls, in amended raised beds. They’re as big as any plant I’ve ever had already, and they haven’t even started flowering (mid August).

What are some of the best ways to cure large quantities? I’ve read about totes, and 5 gal buckets, cure bags? Anyone have experience with this, or have any alternatives?

Long ways to go with outdoors lots of time to decide how to dry and cure. If you had success with the way you did your first outdoor plant why not do the same with these? I no longer hang the whole plant but you can if you have the room. I take branches and hang those to dry. And then trim the buds, paperbag them if they feel abit too wet to jar. Yep i jar them at times i've had 30+quarts of jars on shelves. I hear those cure bags are real popular.

I use food safe 5 gal buckets. If you are curing over 5 lbs, it’s my go too method. I’m not saying other methods are bad, I just like buckets. Plus you can use them for other stuffthese are reused. Won’t use them for curing again.

I tried the groove bags for the first time last fall and I love them. Put some of my harvest in jars making sure to burb correctly and part in bags. After 4 months i compared the buds and couldn't tell the difference. I still use jars for long term storage if it lasts that long but all curing will be in the groove bags. No more burping.

I've wondered about that. I've had cures where life got in the way and/or I got high and just forgot to burb most of the time and honestly couldn't tell the difference in the finished bud.

I had a pint mason jar that had been sitting around for about six months! Grabbed it to give to a customer, and when I got there started to open it up and the lid and ring blew out of my hand about 3 feet into the air! I guess I should’ve burped! Almost gave me a heart attack! It wasn’t moldy!! Lol! They can build up some pressure if you’re not careful!
