DIY Aero cloner: I used to use this, I would get damn near 100% rates. This thing worked great and was only like $20 to build. I got everything needed at walmart. (I havnt used it in at leasf a year, as I have since gotten lazy with my cloning but still getting like 80% succes)

What you need:
- tupperware "shoe box" w lid
- fish tank bubbler
- fish tank air hose
- fish tank air stone
- a "noodle" swimming pool toy

Tools:
- drill
- 3/8" drill bit
- 1" to 1-1/2" hole bit
- hot glue gun
- scissors

Using the 1" bit, drill out desired amount of holes. These are where you will put the "plugs" for your clones.

Now take that "noodle" and cut roughly 2" sections. Take each section and cut a slit half way through. (When you cut your clone, you will place it into the slit, and then push the plug into the hole. You will want atleast a half inch to an inch of the bottom of the stem to clear the plug, and be submerged into the water.)

Take the (roughly) 3/8" drill bit and drill a hole into the tupperware. You want this hole as close to the top as possible - tgis is where you will feed the air line into the tote. if you put the hole to low, that will affect the amount of water you can put in (as it will leak).

Take the air stone (i bought a 12" strip) and hot glue it to the bottom of the tote.

Feed the airline in through the hole and connect it to the tube. Fill tote with water. Connect the other end to the air pump.

Take your cuttings, insert them into the slit in the foam "noodle", pushe the foam plug into the hole, i like to make sure that it is about half way into the hole (about an inch showing above the lid and an inch below). Put the lid on and BOOM! You have yourself an aero cloner!

↑ ↑ ↑ the exact same method I use.i.would say iv had about 90% success with it but most of the ones that didn't make it were my fault not the cloner.i love my wee bubble cloner . you just got to make sure it's light proof.

Is it a bubbler?iv seen the buckets that have the fog . anyone try them?I hear they run too hot but if you can somehow get the fog into a separate chamber away from the equipment the
at produces the fog and set your clones up in the separate chamber . It's SUPPOSED to work good.
With a bubbler youl have roots in no time . The freedom it gives you to keep desirable phenos(as you know bigworm6969 that's a big deal for someone who always grew from seed) to run side by side comparison . It makes it ALOT EASIER to work out if your doing something right or wrong or to check if one product works better than another or whatever or a feeding schedule . anything really . It will defo help you become better at what you do.

got my cloner and the only thing that's wrong with it, is i thought it was a 5 gallon bucket and its only a 2-3gallon other then that i think it was well worth the money i read the reviews and a lot of peeps says its cheap piece of trash but mine is pretty nice the holes are all alined and flush and no spurs and the insert are the good ones and i even think the pump is good the suction cups keep it in place i got it running to see how much the water heats up but i think its a good unit

That's a good price!iv been toying with the idea of buying a spray cloner . even IF it's not up to much its no biggie but it should root your cuts fine . even if it does heat up the water too much in the bucket you could switch the pump and sprayers to a larger container that won't heat up as much and cut holes in the lid .

I prefer Olivias Cloning gel. I got some free samples of rootech, and it seems to work well too.

As far as your pump heating up the water, that will actually benefit you right now since it is so cold out. With my aero cloner, I actually had to add a small fish tank heater in it for Jan-april.
