Thank you so much for the help! I see what you mean about the leaf septoria, there’s definitely spotting on the leaves which also had me wondering whether or not it was solely nute burn or something else. I’ll be sure to apply neem oil when once the lights turn back off. Thanks again2nd picture and some to follow show signs of leaf septoria. Check it out
Leaf Septoria and Cannabis: Prevention & Treatment - RQS Blog
Cannabis leaf septoria is not the most terrifying of infections, but it is still bad news. In this article, find out how to identify, prevent, and treat it!www.royalqueenseeds.com
.. looks to me from pics, cold root zone, inadequate airflow, improper watering.. the list goes on but the article above talks about airflow and such. A quick google search will result in a plethora of articles. Happy grows.

Thank you thatd be nice! I plan on getting another clone after this one as I have about 20 houseplants already and this grow started out really strong so I’d love to try again after I see this plant through. I know I definitely made mistakes with this one (Im hoping to get my next clone into a canvas pot sooner, I now know the proper npk ratios to go for during veg and flower, etc) and would totally appreciate any advice or product suggestions for my next grow. Thank you!Well. There are some recommendations to be made. For your next grow. I could suggest a basic recipe and process if you'd like. If you have some growing goals in mind I'm sure if you share them you can come up with a plan for the future success.

Thank you so much! I will be sure to repot ASAP and water with regular distilled water. I was getting an organic fertilizer from a local nursery that I used for my regular houseplants and I looked into proper NPK too late, I now understand the fertilizer was too concentrated, and had too much P & K during veg and what would be too much N for flowering. Now that it's been pointed out by you and others in the thread I see the droopiness in the leaves and will be sure to allow more time between waterings, its seeming like cannabis like to be watered a lot like a calathea and I have plenty of experience with those. I'm hoping the repotting in a canvas pot will aid with any dampness as well. Thanks againI would get her into a new pot and give only water for a few weeks. Recipe 420 should have all the necessary nutrients that she needs at this point in her life. Scale back your watering, because she looks a bit droopy in the first picture. Deficiencies can be hard to diagnose specifically, it could be that something is in excess which has caused a deficiency, not that there is an actual deficiency in what you’re feeding her or the soil she’s in. The fertilizer you’re providing is more than plenty and sounds not great for cannabis from it’s high unison NPK ratio. Fertilizers like that are typically given to outside plants maybe once or twice a season. Meaning it’s not something that should be used periodically to provide nutrients to indoor cannabis plants. Recipe 420 is good stuff, and the plant is presumably only a half dozen or so weeks old, it’s got all it needs. Using only water will allow you to reset everything per se instead of chasing a deficiency down a rabbit hole trying to add all sorts of things to the soil. When you water, let the soil dry out almost completely, say 90%. And then give her a nice soak. This might be only once a week at first, and that’s okay. She’ll slowly start sucking up more as her root system expands. Also, flush cautiously, it’s really damaging to the plant and should only be done in do or die circumstances. Doing it twice probably made things worse than better.
Thanks again! For starting out I recommend:
Basic digital 600 hps light combo. (Or whatever you have for now)
Pro-Mix with mychorizae cube.
5 gallon hard sided pot. Square or round.
Flora Nova Grow and FloraNova Bloom 1 part foods.
Ph test drops.
Temperature controls. Like an inkbird wifi temperature controller. And a duct fan combo. Don't over spend.
Take the clone and raise it in a solo cup or 1 later planter. When ready transplant to 5 gallons or larger of pro mix. Water PH to 6.0 - 6.4.
For the first 8 days or so no nutirents. The when the clone is just ready use ¼ strength.
Veg this plant on 18/6 for about 3 to weeks. Feeding half dose of the label. Flip to 12/12
And switch foods from grow to bloom after 2 weeks.
Feed bloom for 4.5 to 5 weeks. Then only water and ph. For the remaining flowering time usually 9 weeks. This is for photoperiod kush.
Once a week to prevent pests spray from top to bottom with safers 3 in 1 or similar. Once a week. Up until the 3rd week of flowering 12/12.
Once comfortable you can start to experiment with veg time and foods. But I find this makes for a robust little plant with minimal hassles.
An 18" plant can turn into a 3 foot plant or a 5 foot plant. Training is a part of it. But optional.
This recipe is basic and simple and has never steered me wrong. Once you're comfortable you try new supplements and mediums. All of that. Simple works. And can grow premium product.
Idea temps are 77F for most scenarios. 66F overnight and don't exceed 84F if you. Can. Ask lots of questions. Don't handle the plant too much.
Thank you! That makes a lot of sense, I understand now. I'm going to repot ASAP and water with regular distilled water for a while. I had been using the organic fertilizer made by a local nursery that I use for my many houseplants as I researched proper NPK for cannabis too late. Next time I will be sure to use something less concentrated, and with less P & K during veg, and less N for flowering. Thank you for the help. For some reason, flushing seems to always make matters worse. Maybe it's because it's trading the original problem for overwatering and then deficiency.
I would repot with your new Recipe 420 soil, right away. The 20-20-20 stuff sounds like it's either Miracle Grow or a competitor. If you're going to continue using it (NOT right after transplanting — the nutrients in the soil should last for 4 weeks or so) use 50% or less of the recommendation for non-Cannabis plants.
Distilled water isn't necessary. Tap or well or spring is ok. may I suggest some cannabis grow literature. Ed Rosenthal books are ok. There are better ones. One on identifying pests and deficiencies with images is a good resource for a plant enthusiast. Just good to have. Happy growing.Thank you! That makes a lot of sense, I understand now. Beneficial bacteria and fungi can fight root issues. Actinovate (organic) is a good product that uses beneficials (https://www.amazon.com/Actinovate-AG-Fungicide-18-oz/dp/B004UBTD4Y). You might also go with fabric air pots to improve oxygenation of the soil and rhizosphere. The nursery pots don't dry out as evenly. The top will get real dry while half way down and lower is still moist. The leaves love CO2, the roots love O2. With my 10 gal air pots I usually water every 3 days or so in veg. Also remember, when you flip to 12/12, they don't get nearly the same light and heat so they dry slower so you may need to water less.My plant went from totally fine and growing nice and bushy and healthy with not a single yellow leaf to full of yellowing leaves with black crispy edges and (what I THINK is) yellow/light green new growth. Problems did seem to start the most recent time I fertilized (I’d been using an organic 20-20-20 fertilizer that you put in a gallon of water and just water with every time all veg and I was worried I added too much this most recent time). I’ve flushed the plant 2x since I saw the first 2 yellowing leaves and she seems to be getting worse instead of better. Im really upset because Id decided to switch it to flowering (12/12 light schedule) that most recent time I fertilized because she was looking so healthy and now she’s struggling and I’ve already changed the light scheduled. Please help!! I’ll attach photos of what she looked like healthy, after the first time I flushed, and a couple days after the second time.
Could it be a deficiency and the fact that symptoms started soon after that most recent time fertilizing is just a coincidence ? Would repotting help ? (I haven’t repotted since I got her from the dispo over a month ago so it’s still in whatever soil Dark Heart clones come in, but I have an unopened bag of Recipe 420 I was hoping to repot her into as soon as her soil dries out from this most recent flush so I can water well once it’s repotted).
1st pic is her healthy. 2nd pic is the first leaf I saw. The video is what she looked like a few days after the first flush. All other photos are her currently, days after 2nd flush. View attachment 1158977View attachment 1158985View attachment 1158984View attachment 1158983View attachment 1158981

Sorry, I meant fabric smart pots; they do air pruning. Air pots are totally different.Beneficial bacteria and fungi can fight root issues. Good to know about the uneven drying, I went ahead and repotted into a fabric pot using Recipe 420 and watered with regular water earlier today. Il'l be sure to monitor the moisture in the soil and my hydrometer carefully. Thank you so much for the help!Beneficial bacteria and fungi can fight root issues. I do definitely see the darkness in the lower leaves, although I will say the shininess is some residual neem oil (I saw what looked like PM on some of the leaves when I'd brought it home from the dispo). Thank for you explaining about how the nute burn can cause deficienies as well, someone yesterday had said something similar so I went ahead and repotted into a fabric pot and Recipe 420 and watered with regular water. Thank you so much for the info and helphas anyone mentioned TOO MUCH Nitrogen? Leaves are shiny / dark green. Then I see calcium issue which can be a result of too much N blocking uptake of nutes. I see burnt tips (nutrient issue), and N deficiency / Ph imbalance/fluctuations, and POTASSIUM issues
All this can come from
overwatering
too much nutrients
They are NOT in FLOWER so Get some NEW / additional container/s, some fresh soil (any organic potting soil (like FFOF) - it will have all the nutrients you need, just WATER
