After doing some digging and figuring out the general composition of bone meal; I was wondering what it actually does for the plant beside provide a source of phosphorus and some protein for the plant? Thanks for the help,
My answer is based on outdoors soil grows. most grows with bone meal when grown indoors really don't have the time frames to have the soil microbes really mineralize the bone meal and make it available for uptake by the rootzone. It works great outdoors or indoor beds where you have a season or 2 or more to let the herd do the work.

What about a liquid bone meal? Im trying out NFTG liquid bone meal and its supposedly readily available for absorption... It was a free sample pack so I said why not and tossed it in.

And i will say why not too. If it’s free go for it maybe give it to half of your plants and dont give the other half to see if it makes any difference, as an experiment. You may buy more in future accordingly.

NFTG is derived from bone meal but it goes through a process to make it readily available to the plant...basically fast forwards the soil microbe process
I have heard of pan frying(outside) till 1/3 is black another 1/3 brown the remaining whiteish to brown. Hit that in a coffee grinder and then hit it with vinegar...wait 3 to 4 weeks and you got one hell if a foliar spray. This can also be done with egg shells. Which i have done and i thought it did its job....used less cal mag....leaves great! It works...just got to peel the albumin out of the shells..it was worth the time. Gave'em a blast in trans and 2 weeks in...hit them at wk 5...lil cal mag after that...ill be doing it again....want to do a side by side of these two methods....gotta get my clones going...want my ladies to get a lil taller 6ft....got a 7ft'r im topping soon....waiting on a shipment of supplies....can't wait! Anyone here ever try the burn/cook method

that is what they claim. I use nftg on occasion and like their lineup. But I cannot answer truthfully if their liquid bone meal is more readily available or not.
