I went to a bottom reservoir style potting pot. I have noticed the roots have made their way all the way to the bottom where water sits. I have a feeling it isn’t good for the roots to be submerged in water. I’m thinking I need to transplant to bags or buckets but hoping It’s not to far along in week 4 but of veg. Any info would help...

I would suggest a moisture meter of some kind. If you water until runoff and that excess water has some place to escape...no worries. Simply just water again when felt to be dry...or better yet a meter will tell you the moisture levels in the middle of the medium and also at the bottom.

Since having one I can say for sure a lot of people over water if they are anything like me.

Visibly dry at the top, pot starts to lighten up....oh ok it’s time to water again. Not Necessarily,

As far as moving them goes, some pics would be helpful. It’s not uncommon to up pot a plant that is root bound or simply has out grown what it’s in.

Name says your a lineman, same here.

I just didn’t like the amount of water in the bottom. I also just went to a gal and a half of water for 5.

I have since twisted them and laid them down working on my little trellis to support.

No reason you couldn’t transplant them if really needed. I would be topping them all right now if it was me.

You could LST them, I have done an scrog with just LST but you will get a much more even canopy if you top them.

I don’t want to transplant if I can avoid it. I plan on topping this weekend. And still plan on putting 2 tears to train them to stay close to even.
