Enjoy but remember the plant will serve as the ultimate teacher verses any grower. Other can teach you the ropes but you must learn from the plants at hand more then anything else indoors or out. Once one masters basics utilizing the KISS approach one can excel and hybridize their own method and approach while incorporating a wider range of genetics..

Have fun and again ENJOY no matter what as it all serves to teach even the downfalls that arise.. I have been growing for over 25 years and my interest level keeps growing too ..I still feel the same now when starting new seeds I have made as I did starting bag seed in the tail end of the 80's:)

Welcome to the farm, good people here. I'm new too...& I'm use to outdoor growing too, in Cali.
Once I stopped overwatering and got the temp & humidity at a reasonable level the plants did what they were supposed to. So many ways to grow, you'll find something that suits you. Happy growing.

I'm a beginner myself but form what I've gathered
The more light the better
Don't skip good ventilation they need fresh air, or at least co2
Keep them between 65-80 F along with the water you give them
Checking the ph of the water is nice but the soil is what you should really be worried about
Don't believe dumbasses, I had a neighbor by one day that looked in my garden and said all my plants were male before they were even showing "but what do I know I've just been doing this since the 60's" he said to me you should have seen the smoke coming out of his ears when I told him he was wrong two weeks later. Listen to people that have done and recorded research, they are the one that really know.
Have fun and don't let it become a chore

Cheers and happy growin'
JR
