it happens all the time, tell your husband to relax it happens to everybody, i like to cut at all available clones above the break/crack immeadiatly after the accident, I cut where the crack is to sever the entire branch then immeadiatly set the branch in a glass of water, and then proceed to cut clones, or else use STRING not tape and make a brace, tape has harmful chemicals that can cause your plant to get sick and further stressed,
It's too late, He already amputated her head, but, you should still have some nice branches left that will become the NEW heads......next time try what anyone here said, by tying it back together, I have also used zip ties to mend a broken of split stem. They are very hearty plants and will grow in spite of poor conditions or improper care, believe me, I've done my best at trying to kill them, just by caring too much for them.....lol
Peace FFF:harvest:
Nooooooooo. Made this mistake long time ago. That petroleum jelly is going to slowly kill your plant. Shit is fucking evil. The problem with it is that it suffocates the plant slowly seeping into the tissues and ultimetly kilking and disabling your plant from getting what it needs. That black fugus will spread bad very very bad. If you pull off the bark the plant will have the fungus all up and threw it . I was mid flower when i did this so there was no saving it, i tried t o wash it with whiping first then peroxide. Then waited a week my buds never got bigger and one by one all the mainstems wilted to death. Soil never got dry, hence my assumption that no nutes were reaching the plant. So i wasted 2 weeks worth of electricity, and one week of water. It was sad man. The initial reason was to keep critters crawling up from my soil. I usually use tangle foot but was out. So lesson learned fuck it. Imo get rid of the branch or you will lose the girl from the fungus.;)i just had another fuck up .. .. pulling my plant out of the bush line for neem & she had grown up into a dead branch , snap main stem ..... hanging by a thread.
well i've done this before & lost both plants so lets hope this works will be a test i guess ?
she fell in the wind again as i was getting a splint ready and totally snapped off. so im trying something new. :arghh:
i took a 2 inch piece of tie wire & pushed 1/2 of it into the hollow part on stem / it was snug . i then pressed the other end down till it was lined up just as she was before she broke in half. i then covered the wound with petroleum jelly / all over. the last two times the plant rebounded but after a week a black fungus developed so thats what im trying to avoid. also figured it would help lock in moister ...
i have no idea if this will work so ill update in the near future. i give it a 20% chance seeing it was a clean break ....

I just did this with my 2 n half month old autoflowering indoor tree. I was cleaning n my plant fell over n snapped, I tried to tightly wrap it up with think string, but it continued to wilt n dehydrate, its currently recuperating in a bottle of water with some nutrients solution. I suggest u do the same n wait for roots to form. Then u can replantHi guys I think I might have a problem. My husband and I are both medicinal patients and this is our first time growing, our biggest plant was getting to tall and getting burnt by the lights, we have been meaning to put in a screen but he had to go out of town for a couple days and I was concerned, so I attempted to bend it and broke it. When my husband got home he was angry so he cut it off where I broke it, which you will see in the picture. I'm wondering what my next move should be to insure that we will still have good buds if possible.
I have no idea where you got the idea to use petroleum jelly??? But have you guys ever heard of are rooting? It's when you take a branch and snap it then take some soil I don't know you don't think you need to put rooting hormone on it but I guess it wouldn't hurt but basically you wrap a ball of soil around the break with a gauze put some water on it keep it moist I guess and it will start rooting ! When it does route you cut it off and plant it... Because now I am a clone now Let Me Grow Let Me Grow I am a clone now! but you don't do it during budding cycle that's for sure you do it during veggie that's another way of making clones I've never tried it but I have read about it apparently it's supposed to work... But petroleum jelly dude come on dude you could I put a little honey on it you could have spit on it any one of those things as long as you know the smoke would have been better than petroleum jelly I'm not ragging on you dude seriously you did what you thought was right at the time ,,I hope you're able to save it from what that other guy said oh my God I wouldn't want that to happen to me I've had enough problems losing my entire crops 2 the dreaded russet mites I'm fighting that again right now but this time I'm going to win the battle I still have half my crop but talking about losing electricity and all the time spent and a waste of my RO water and the hours and hours oh my God turn my prize OG Ringo into a mediocre turnip I mean how did you expecting to Pretty Good Buds and I got I don't know what the hell to call them puny little things I guess anyway good luck man I hope everything works outi just had another fuck up .... pulling my plant out of the bush line for neem & she had grown up into a dead branch , snap main stem ..... hanging by a thread.
