I believe it hit 52 degrees. I’m in Massachusetts so that’s the average night temp right now unfortunately. How cold was it overnight?
I just googled about that, not sure how to fix it. I read that the plant is unable to uptake phosphorus in under 60 temps. But during the day everything should be fine. And besides feeding it phosphorus already in the nutes I give them there’s also bat guano in the soil which contains it as well. Can you recommend anything?Cold wet roots cause phosphorous deficiency like that. Also should let them root a week in the larger pot of new soil so they are bigger and stronger to deal with the change.
I was feeding them for about 2 weeks but it was light nutes, I was worried about over doing it. I might bring them back in I’m going to give it a couple more days don’t want to lug 5 g buckets to my upstairs room if I don’t have to. Plus I’ll have to take them out of the cage I built, I believe mass law requires that there secured in your backyard, I should double check that though. Also looks like they were hungry before they went outside. Adding Phosphorus or any nutes won't help if the temps are to low. I would bring em in and put em under some lights. Will take a few days to recover then up the feed strength a little or feed a little bit if you haven't

Yep! Our temps took a dive this week (50's days and 30's at night..Northern Nevada)! it will be like that until next Wednesday and my 4 plants are back inside (2 are 4 ft already). Lugging 15 gallon cloth pots is not fun! Plants are doing fine, and will have to be hardened off again..BlehAlso looks like they were hungry before they went outside. Could be wrong but where it happened in one cold overnight I suspect it's cold & wind damageI transplanted my 5 plants yesterday morning from indoors to outdoors. Now when I checked on them this morning the perfectly healthy leaves yesterday now have discolored brown edges. Could this be from going from led lighting to getting sun from 8:30am to 5:30pm full exposure ? Or could it be from me using superthrive for the transplant? Or possibly the temperature change, they got a constant 70-75 degrees in the house to 70 outside during the day yesterday to 52 last night? Any info would be greatly appreciated
Atleast you know what I’m talking about. I googled for the last 2 weeks when was the best time to put the plants out. The range from people was so different. Basically people were saying May 1st - Memorial Day. A lot said there plants were already out weeks ago in New England but I was way to scared to do that cause of the huge fluctuations in temp over the last 3 weeks but according to the 15 day forcast everything seems to be leveling off.Whereas it happened in one cold overnight I suspect it's cold & wind damage. I'm on the North Shore so I hear you about the weather, believe me :/
I hear that! This should be Beach weather by now instead the heat's been running for days!? No spring again this year, just near steady rain and cold :/ someone already mentioned cover them or wrap some plastic around them might help?Atleast you know what I’m talking about. I already have my tomatoes and peppers and a few other things I picked up at Home Depot out. They seem to be doing ok. They’ve been out for a little over a week now. Crossing my fingers they stay that way..
Ya they were very healthy, the the only issue I had was the leafs seemed slightly small but I read that could be from using led lights,Thanks , and yes it’s very nice living in a legal state, I was going to do 12 plants because I believe 6 plants per person in the house for a maximum of 12 , is that correct. I may do that next year...digging my garden this weekend I'll pick them up first of the week when a new batch of plants are in from the greenhouse, I don't want what's been sitting there this week
Not sure whats up with your Leaf damage but it's unusual to see things turn like that over night from as you described a healthy green leaf?
Perhaps some outdoor growers will be able to shed more light on this, good luck with your grow, it's nice living a legal State! LOL]

I put mine out in the beginning of May, and because of the Mtns (High Sierra), we have even less sunlight/daylight....Problem is easily solved using an LED porch light here. As for small leaves with LEDs..I only begin with LED grow lights, and have never notice small leaves when I move them outdoors. I did transplant into Promix this year and my nute pre-charge was too light, so some bottem leaves yellowed before I had to drag them in. Same thing happened last yr, but I used FF soils then.I would be more worried about the hours of sunlight, then temp, if you're putting plants out May 1. If you were only doing 12-14 hours of light, then you'll be OK, but if you go from 18 hours indoor and put your plants out the beginning of May (where they'll be getting around 13.5 hrs) almost assuredly they will go into flower. Normally they'll revert back to veg in in about a month, but it will serious stunt the plant flipping from veg to flower, back to veg. Lots of time the plant won't get taller then a couple feet and have flowers the entire veg period. Some strains can handle it better then others, but better to wait until the end of May or early June.
