I use a 4 or 6 tier hanging netted hoop basket.Half my basement is a weight room; the other half is storage and tools and a refrigerator. I've come to the realization that I just don't have enough room to dry all this shit. Maybe I could wet trim and fashion some kind of rack system? I don't know. I do know that I cannot hang all 12 of these.
If it were solely dedicated to drying and with the right setup (strings or rack) you could fit a lot in there - maybe 12 plants worth. Theres gonna be a lot of waste - once everythings trimmed up its not gonna seem like as much.I was thinking about that. The only problem is that I would need one of those tents from M.A.S.H. for 12 plants.
This is 1 large plant drying in the 2x2x4 tent while i started my clones. If it were solely dedicated to drying and with the right setup (strings or rack) you could fit a lot in there - maybe 12 plants worth. Go rent a small storage unit for a couple of months? Probably get ripped for sure! could always ask The guy cooking crank in the unit next to you to keep an eye on them for you! Good luck! You’ll figure something out!
We built a second garage.Half my basement is a weight room; the other half is storage and tools and a refrigerator. I have one of those. Well, something like it. I have put paper towel down and placed buds on top. I have a small fan on the other side of the room to keep the air moving and within 2-3 days, outsides of the buds are dry. And I write on the paper towel, strain name and date. Works great!I just ordered two of these 4'H x 3'W hanging baskets. Might be enough space to get the job done.

How big is the bottom inches wise?I have one of those. Well, something like it. I have put paper towel down and placed buds on top. Kill those plants before they ruin the rest. That's what i would doThat sucks. I'm dealing with it daily at this point. Every single day I find some rot. It seems, fortunately, isolated to about 3 of 12 plants - 1 of the 3 being the worst. I'm about ready to just chop that whole plant at this point. That said, I do realize that by the time you see it, it's too late, so for all I know this project could be a total fail. Today, I cut off a cola the size of my forearm and most of it was screwed. I was able salvage the middle of the bud (about the size of a Coors Light can)
Oh yeah they will for sure.I just ordered two of these 4'H x 3'W hanging baskets. Might be enough space to get the job done.

I think the paper towels wick some of the moisture away from the buds. And the buds don't seem to stick as badly as on the mesh.Nice. That's what I will do. Does using the paper towel encourage mold though?
You’re going to dry 12 good size pot, plants worth of bud on those! This, I gotta see! Good luck!I just ordered two of these 4'H x 3'W hanging baskets. Might be enough space to get the job done.

environment no foliarI've done everything possible to prevent Bud Rot outdoors. Sprayed either Dr. Zymes or Mammouth Cannncontrol every week, try to shake plants after a rain, pruned to make sure light and air penetrate. Still, at this point, I am not cutting off at least 1 Bud every day. I know that I'm not quite at the ideal place to chop these plants. The Trichomes are a bit cloudy, some red hairs, even a few amber Trichomes, but they are only at around week 7 or 8 on a strain that typically takes 9 to 11. I'm wondering if it makes sense to just chop them.
What do you guys think? Is it normal to be chopping of Bud Rot on a regular basis on an outdoor grow? Should I hang in there and try to squeeze a couple of more weeks or cut my losses and settle for something less than ideal?
The baskets that I bought are 36" diameter, 48" high, and have 6 Bays. Each one should handle about 3# pretty easily. 12 plants could produce more than this, granted. If I fill up both baskets and still have plants waiting, I have a few folks here locally that are more than willing to adopt a plant! How big is the bottom inches wise?
I love that. I found some ultra fine screen inserts that could work for that too.
I know all about that. Beryl kicked my ass. Sorry about your outdo. So this shitty weather decided my harvest time-line for me. While most of the State is experiencing light rain, Mother Nature decided to take a giant shit on the Cape. High winds and rains. First pic is for context. Usually takes a bit for a Mooring to break and deposit a Sail Boat on the beach! Second, one of several victims! The good news: 4.5# of wet trimmed bud. If I figure 25% end product, not a bad haul per plant for a new grower! While it had a couple of weeks to go, I'm hoping it's still pretty good. I have another 6 hours or so of trimming ahead of me today!
