Bud sizes , how do I get them bigger

Are these bud sizes normal? Day 49 flower , so end of week 7 today .

They look small to me ? Some people have them the size of their arms . How is this done ?

Can you elaborate on that ? All well to say that but what factors you base that on

Yes you as the growers experience , timing of the nutes and add on your feeding , of stripping leaf , genitics some strains have bigger buds than others just a general observation of what I've seen over the many years of growing .

Well, he's aged, me too. I want big budz as well, but my experience holds me back some for one example. Your are bigger than mine, genetics may be part of the answer as well. The plants genetics. Carry on One Drop. SS

I think the main one is timing for me when to step on the gas and get those buds to swell up n get fat .

Yeah well I guess this is my first proper grow , I do get confused on how much ppm I need to run. Went high at 1000ppm for flowering and started showing signs of burn .

I’ve dropped back to 600ppm now so I guess next time I know where to be at

Sometimes I can’t smell them hahah and think is 600 too low. Wife always says she can smell them , my nose isn’t the best also

That's a good lesson which is now in your experience folder , 600 to 900 is where I normally run mine in week #7, 8 up to 1000 to 1100 , week 10 through 12 come down from 1100 to 300 ish till flush week 13 or 14 depending on how long I run the grow . Od

Do you think I have still a few more weeks to go from my pics? And I should up the nutes a little yeah ?

It's got lots of whit pistil showing come up a little keep a check on the leaf tips there the first to get burnt I think 750 ish should be good and get your pH to 6.2 it's in flower period .

I think you may be finished by then that's one of the reasons I have white boards with dates so you get timings right . Od

It’s also hard to get good genetics into my country australia. Very hard to find seeds

They aren't as big as your arm but look good.

I find regular seed gives bigger than any other (fem or auto) and some strains are bigger due to genetics. I'm in Canada where growing 4 plants is now legal. I never thought I'd see growing weed legal in my life time but it happened !

I think genetics is number one for bud structure... certain strains/phenos have that column-like bud structure where all the buds connect to form giant spears... others will have a more golf ball structure with more space between the nodes/buds....

501st OG - big stretch with lots of space between nodes --> small little golf ball nuggets that don't connect

LD95 - little stretch resulting in tight internode spacing and buds stacking most of the way down
