Baby boy with mommy and daddy.
He is growing very quick.
Mommy and her boy are sweet as little puppies.
Daddy is still the same, you cant turn your back on him, he will charge and those horns are hard as stone.

That looks like the same moth as the pic i posted in post nr.720

So far i only found 3 caterpillars which is very few.
I do see some brown pistils and some bits eaten but while checking and opening buds i dont find any more.
Only sprayed BT once so far.

Good luck, dont let them bring you down!

I think this is a June bug—beautiful metallic coloring, especially the shiny copper underside. The photos can’t quite capture it.

Cherry Wine hemp

Red Shoulder beetle

They can see well and respond pretty quickly to my movements. They're sap suckers. Summer/fall is when they're very active with breeding couples attached to each other. This is the first time I saw so many on a plant, dozen plus. Starry Eyed fem that I took down today.

This trailhead is usually full of chipmunks and rabbits, I usually see 50 or so as I enter and exit the trail, but I didn't see any as I sparked a hiking doob... then I saw this sitting on a post about 20 yards in:

Not sure if it was a full belly, or he sees a lot of people on this trail, but he let me get really close. These red-tail hawks typically live in areas with people and highways so maybe a bit of both.

I whistle at it so I wouldn't spook it, but the second time I might have sounded a bit too much like a squirrel because it almost looks like he licks his lips.

Saw a few of these too, Italian wall lizard. I'd love if I could get them to hang out in my garden.

Went out this morning to spray fungicide while the dew was still on the plants and found this.
It was hanging from a dead leaf I picked off and didn't move.
50 degrees this morning, it was cold and wet.
Warmed up, dried off and flew away.
