Dry ice. 125 is fine. i use 150.I’m planning to make hash but just can’t decide if I want to go dry sift or bubble hash method. From what I have learned thus far bubble hash is a cleaner product if made correctly. The dry sifters I have looked at seem to be limited at 125 micron. Are you guys sifting beyond 125 micron to further remove the impurities and if so how?
You press in to slab or make rosin?Dry ice. 125 is fine. i use 150.
That’s what I have been looking at actually. I was thinking 125 but think I want the final product purer than that.My first Brick hash attempt
81.6 gm, sat in boiling water for 10 min to heat mold Filled and pressed and let it set for 10 min to cool before placing in ice waterwww.thcfarmer.com
Rosin tech pollen master has 125 150 and 185 screens. I use the 150
Its called "carding"I use 120 and 90 if ya still want to remove impurities the ole parchment on a cd case works well @GNick55 makes some amazing lookin hash ck his thread
I don't press it. I use it to make fudge. You press in to slab or make rosin?
125 will be purer than that pile of kif that's sitting in the corner of a hut in LebanonThat’s what I have been looking at actually. I was thinking 125 but think I want the final product purer than that.
Depending on strain, 125 might be too fine. Some big trichs won't fit. Some won't even pass the 150. I use dry ice to get through the 180, then I use the 150 depending on what I'm making.125 will be purer than that pile of kif that's sitting in the corner of a hut in Lebanon
Mine is the 150. It seems to yield about 20% based on weight when i tumble 1/2 lb at a time for an hour. 45 to 55 gms return.Depending on strain, 125 might be too fine. Some big trichs won't fit. I agree I use the 120 but I also quick wash the left over weed and it’s pretty amazing how much oil I get back after it’s been hashedDepending on strain, 125 might be too fine. the closeup looks good!!You get screens that are different LPI...Try sift buddy’s.
Any bubble I’ve looked at still has stalks on. With dry sift you can get 99.9 Heads.
Here’s some dry sift I made recently.
And of course my screens.
And always USE YOUR HANDS!!!

That was on my 180lpi...it’s a mixture of anything that falls through the 61,86 lpi which are just used for breaking down material (61) and catching larger debris (86).the closeup looks good!!
what grade/micron size was it from?
did you take a photo of the other grades?
nice job with your hand..That was on my 180lpi...it’s a mixture of anything that falls through the 61,86 lpi which are just used for breaking down material (61) and catching larger debris (86).
I work the 180 lpi .....and 230 lpi sometimes.
So basically my 180 will look like this until I clean it up to the picture I posted above.
I’m using my hand no card no paint roller just my hand.

It’s easier for me to explain how I have them numbered as opposed to looking it up myself.nice job with your hand..
i usually make hash from the other grades as well.. different strains different size heads..
or everything else gets collected for oil..
depends if i’m lazy or not.. haha
i think people would understand the micron size better than lines per inch lpi.,
here’s a piece i made a while back from dry sifting.. the 70 grade.

sounds like you know your stuff too.. i only grow to make hash and oil, i don’t smoke weed..It’s easier for me to explain how I have them numbered as opposed to looking it up myself.
On the 180lpi it’s usually heads in 80-150u range. 230lpi heads in 79-63u. Depending on how dry the material is. Which is highly recommended to dry and age well. Makes everything easier as you should be pushing your contams through the screen...which means the heads should also be hard so when they rub together they crush contams to get pushed through screen.
