In coco/perlite mix, feeding general hydroponics bloom/micro/grow and calmag, on week 8 since planted, I’ve been feeding every other day, I came on this forum about a week ago to diagnose a calmag deficiency and I’ve since upped my cal mag dosage at a ph between 5.7-6.2 but it’s only getting worst by the day, I haven’t been testing my ec or ppm but I’ve got a meter on the way. My top leaves look a bit more of yellowish Green too. New grower so my advice on how to trouble shoot this would be appreciated.

Are you watering to run off of 20% or more?
They look hungry. As your not checking ec/ppm you may not be feeding them enough.
Have you checked your run off pH?

Yeah 20% or more every time I water
Could 100% be under feeding as like you say I’m not checking my ec/ppm so maybe, as I have be airing on the side of underfeeding rather then over feeding. But no, I will check my run off ph today.

As you are growing in coco and having problems with Calcium deficiency. I have to ask how you prepared your coco.
If you happen to have used prepared coco. It seems likely that it was not correctly buffered. At this point in your grow it's to late to start washing and buffering the coco so keep at it with the cal mag and let them finish up.

For future grows. Consider washing and buffering your coco as described in this video.

you really do need to measure EC growing in coco or your just farting in the wind.
i would feed everday to run off also. those pots look quite small even twice a day

Yeah, honestly I kinda went into this whole thing blindly and did my research as I went along, so I didn’t know coco had to be cleaned and buffered till it was too late. But I’ll keep at it with the calmag.

I have a meter on the way, should have did it way sooner the original video I watched while I was buying everything didn’t specify buying a ec meter so I kinda pushed it to the side.

If you happen to have a little sprayer like for eye glass cleaner. Very fine mist. You could very carefully folier spray the leaves with 1% cal-mag solution being careful not to spray the buds. This will give the plant some calcium. It's not going to fix the problem, but it will help. Spray daily an hour or so before the light come on in the morning for the rest of the grow if you can.

Got ya.
There is a bit of a learning curve when starting out. Next time around will be better as you will have a little experience to fall back on and the equipment like EC and PH meters. We all have to start somewhere and get better as we go.

Brilliant, thank you, I’ve accepted the damage now so anything to make it a little better.

Blind is an understatement. At this point probably no one has any true sense of what you were feeding that plant. How do you even know it's a CalMag issue? From here it looks like your plant is starving and consuming itself to get through the flowering process.

your plant doesn't show any sign of magnesium deficiency and the mark on the leaves looks more like leaf septoria than calcium deficiency, the pale leaves colour near the tops with one plant could be just the phenotype genetic or another issue on going.

... some people just answer cal mag to every cannabis issue they see ...

1-Unbuffered coco sucks up all ur calmag instead of giving it to my plant, and guess who didn’t buffer their coco ? ME
2-My older growth is fine, it’s only top growth a sign of calcium deficiency.
3-It’s looked like a cal problem from the start
4-I’ve had opinions of various different people and it has been pretty definitive across the board.
I may not be feeding as well as I could because I haven’t been ppm or ec my feedings but I’m pretty confident in saying that this is a cal problem because I didn’t buffer, not due to leaf septoria or underfeeding, I know for next time though

People post on here looking for help, not to be chastised by some dude with very few site credentials. If he thinks it's a cal-mag issue, he probably read a shitty bot article on google or was told by someone not unlike yourself. Probably didn't just pull that out of his ass. So, if newbs annoy you so much, why not find something else to fuckin do.

If you think that's chastising then you are very delicate indeed. I don't need "site credentials" (lmao) to go open my tent and look at a thriving coco grow. Frankly, if someone is going to dive into coco, and at the same time not have any kind of clue about looking at EC, then yeah it absolutely begs the question of 'why is this a calmag issue' because they clearly dove into coco without even doing basic research... so why would I ever blindly assume they're correct.

Trying to piece together what you've done so far. You got CalMag and you're adding it in to your feeds, correct? Have you done any kind of major flushing with it? If you have a calcium issue with a plant that size in flower you probably don't have enough time to correct it slowly, you will need to flush the heck out of that media with the express purpose of rinsing everything out. Then resaturate your media with whatever your current nutrient solution is plus enough calmag moving forward.

Feeding calmag since my first feeding. I don’t seem to be understanding what you think the issue is, if I flushed my coco Then fed it calmag what difference would it make, it will still lockout it out because it’s still unbuffered no ? Unless you don’t think that the unbuffered coco is the problem then what do you think the issue is ? Salt build up if ur telling me to flush? I doubt it but maybe, I’m not feeding enough cal mag ? Maybe but I’ll know today because I’m getting my ec meter. I’m not gonna act like a pro because I’m not im just falling back on what I know (which isn’t a very lot) but you have first told me I was underfeeding then you’re telling me to flush aren’t they Polar opposites, I’m not saying you’re wrong I just don’t seem to understand why you think flushing will help with my current problem, prove me wrong by all means, I’m still learning so please expand on your thinking behide this.
