Plants make tons of humidity. I never saw anyone that really needed a humidifier.What is the natural RH of the room, and your RH target?
I don't get concerned about how dry (arid) my grow area might get. In fact, if I were to choose between air being too humid or too dry, I would much rather have it be too dry. During veg, my grow area stays below 50% without much effort. Once my plants have some size to them, controlling humidity becomes a bit more work. During flower, I keep my RH under 50% using a dehumidifier in the room that my tents are in.

Yea I’m a newbie so I looked on google to see what the temp/HR should be for all stages of the plants life and showed for seedling to be at 60-65My seedlings grow perfect at 35-40% rh. It's no big deal. Only the fake news weed growing sites say it is.
Rn the fan is off but when I had it on the humidity was even lower but I see a difference when it’s off, rn where I am it’s cold and the room that tent is in gets even colder. So when the lights are on the temp is fine for the most partIf they are not up you dont have to worry bout anything just at this moment.just a nice warm dark space till they come up...i dont run the exhaust first week as they are so small.plenty of 02 and co2 for them in a room that size ..i just have usb fans just to keep the air moving..
I dont trust what the humidifier is telling you..have you a hygrometer which you can put in there at canopy distance..once they get a couple weeks old the humidity will start rising.that humidifier should work , are you running the extraction fan...sp I se its hot where you are with dry conditions..

I put a little heater in there and sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn’t I just gotta find the perfect medium, usually at night or early morning I’ll put heat on just the raise temps then I turn it off and zip up tent to keep it all inCold air doesnt contain much moisture so you need to add heat like an 500watt oil filled heater or reptile ceramic heat lamps 100-200watt .once you get some warmth in there you should b okay....

Oh wow okIt's really not going to be critical until you're in flower. At that point, you're going to want to keep it under 50% ... 40% is even better.
The humidifier I bought 3 yrs ago has never left it's package. My dehumidifier is set to cycle and it's plugged in and operational 24/7 365 days a yr.

It's not so much that it's necessary, but it can be beneficial.
We were taught that there are benefits to manipulating RH, but you can also manipulate other variables to make it work if you can't control RH. For example if RH is really low like <30% in a warm environment, reducing calcium in the feed slightly and running a reduced ec can help keep things trucking along.
That said it was generally accepted that optimized VPD has better production values. Whether it's worth it to chase down the marginal improvement in production at a small scale like we grow at, is really where the question lies. Probably not. But some of us growers can get rather obsessive trying to grow things the best we can, and practicality is often overlooked. I see it as a similar situation to Co2 enrichment. Does a plant produce better at 1200ppm? Yep, but does a plant still produce dank nugs at 400ppm? Yep.
