I really can't believe I'm doing this but, I swallowed my pride enough to start the damn thing, now I've got to keep it from coming back up on me and actually post it somewhere.
I never thought I'd start one of these just because of some of the entitled shitheads I've seen doing them all the time. I hope that nobody puts me in that category with them because of this and they just take it as the act of desperation that it is.
I've never been the type to ask for any kind of help at all but, life is more than capable of breaking any of us down to a point where we forget about pride and ask for the help we need. That's one more of those wonderful things I've gained from this disease, it's pretty well stripped me of any pride I once had. :inpain:

Ok, I'm not gonna carry on and on, I've gotten awful long-winded lately. I find myself in desperate need of a power chair among other things so, I set up this fund so I can join the ranks of the beggars. :banghead: lol
If any of my brothers in green can help me out with anything at all it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you guys, very much. @Toaster79 that really helps me feel better, I've had my guts in knots all day over doing this damn thing, it just doesn't feel right to me to ask for a handout like that. Sometimes you get in a position where you just have to though.

It really blows my mind that people can't see this thing without having facebook! I really don't use facebook for shit, I can't stand it really, I just knew about the gofund from being told about shit about it and just googled it to find it, I signed up using an email address instead of using facebook so, I didn't think facebook was necessary. Kinda stupid. It must be just a facebook thing then, huh? I didn't know.

Curious if you have checked out Craigslist? I found my dad a free recliner that lifts him up to standing position. The thing was pretty much brand new.
Also in the sections wanted, you can post there and could possibly find someone to give you a free one.
Would your health insurance help with covering part of it?

Yeah, I went into a whole thing about it on my gofund page, I'm sure in the end they would do something to help me out but, they want me to spend time jumping through hoops first and I just can't do it, losing my power chair is killing me. Having to push myself around in an old, worn out piece of shit manual style wheelchair wears me out really quick and makes it hard for me to do too much for myself.
I need to be able to maintain a little bit of independence and a power chair gives that to me.

If someone wants to donate one doesn't need a facebook accout. The link is directed directly to the funding page. So not having a facebook account is just a lame excuse.

Hey @Papa Indica I've got a couple hand rails that were in my guest shower when I moved in. I could mail them to ya with no problem,It could be a start. And I'm sure they could be mounted anywhere...
I know your son does metal work,can he bend S.S tubing?
I might have some old hand rails from swimming pools that could be recycled for what you need too with a little work..

Some hand rails would definitely be a help bro! Thanks. And I'm sure it wouldn't be any trouble to do some bending, I'm quite sure he has access to a pipe bender.
