I was wondering if a air purifier outside my grow tent would help stop smells leaking the room ? I have a carbon filter in the grow tent any ideas ?

If you can smell your plants outside the tent, your carbon filter needs replacing, you do have your exhaust fan running through it?

Do you have a fan sucking air through the carbon filter? If so and you still have odor it’s time to replace the carbon.

Can you describe your tent/fan/filter arrangement? You're sucking air out of the tent, with the intake being the filter inside the tent? The sides of the tent pull inward? (Sometimes people get this wrong, and have a positive pressure in the tent. Or, they have negative pressure, but the filter is outside the tent with a leak in the tube between the fan an filter.).

I use Ona-Gel for additional odor protection when the tent is open, or someone visits. The only thing to be careful about with this is that you shouldn't keep it close to the tent. The plants/buds can absorb the scent. All you need to do is turn the lid upside down, and lay it over the jar opening so just a portion is expose. Regulate the strength that way. You have to buy the liquid concentrate to rejuvinate the gel occasionally.

I put it at the end of the exhaust tube. Or, in the hall outside the room with the tent.

Or buy a better quality one. Also high humidity will effect the efficiency of your carbon filter.

Yeh I have it pulling through , the tent sucks in when it’s closed. The humidity is high

How old is your filter and what brand? I'm kinda betting it's your humidity but yeah maybe time for a replacement.

it’s a rhino one and not had it that long about 4 months but where I live humidity is high I think that’s the problem

Turn the fan as low as possible. High flow doesn't scrub good.
