So I'm just in holding pattern on this big girl. Day 72 today of 12/12, and nice to have the luxury, now I've got good quality flowers from my other two plants, to just let her run. There were reasons to take both of those early, but this one is just really starting to show what it can do. Typical, website says 7-9 weeks flower, but this thing is 70% sativa and showing it. Just seeing some purpling, mainly in the veins under the leaves. The SE3000 is really frosting these things up. I've got a microscope now but it's tricky to get a good photo. There's some amber trichs but mostly cloudy, below is the best photo I've managed to take.

Any experienced growers got a take on harvesting window for this girl? Peace and blaze all.

So, day 78 today on this big girl, and her lights have gone out for the last time this morning. Has very quickly gone to about 7-10% amber pretty well across the plant, so she's starting 48 hours dark now, and will come down first thing Friday morning.

Will use the tent this time for drying, will be able to maintain a nice 60% in there and extend that drying time, the little girl was done in 7 days, way too quick. That will give me another two weeks of my cloned girls to keep revegging outside in the spring sunshine and gives me more time to decide what to do.

As you can see there is one clone that is big and three that are basically the same size as each other. I need to decide whether to put the big plant in the tent next and do a single plant Monster crop run under the Spider Farmer, or, my preferred option, plant that in the garden as it looks like a nightmare to prune and just see what it can do left to get big over summer. This would mean 2-3 of the little girls go into the tent and go onto 12/12 pretty much straight after that (bear in mind will be about 3 weeks from now that they go into tent once I get drying done and sterilise tent). I'm only looking to fill 3x3 so hopefully by that time they're fully back into veg and putting on some size.

Would love to hear folks thoughts on which option they would do, and any general info on managing monster cropped plants?? Cheers all!

Wow can't believe over two weeks since I posted. Life has been busy and the grow has been quiet. Just getting my monster cropped girls back into veg and waiting for drying to be done. Ended up drying for 12 days, pretty happy with the results from that last plant. Went 79 days of flower in the end.

Some seeds in there, one of them went Herm assuming due to the light leak that I didn't detect. I went thru the room and fixed all the leaks, and have washed everything down wth light bleach solution in case any pollen remains.

Repotted two of my girls from 1 to 3 gal fabric, gave them a good soak. Pretty happy with root structure for 4 weeks in pot, can see where the ends have air pruned. There are so many tops on these girls and I'm only working with 3x3 footprint so I'm not topping. They are already responding to the bending, as they are practically touching these will go straight into 12/12 pretty much right away and should fill out 3x3 under a net no worries. I'm going to go pretty hard on the lollipopping and make sure I just get a good canopy of heads this time.

Going on last time and assuming I correct the mistakes I made last time that slowed flowering I reckon these will be good to go in 70-75 days.

Really excited to be accidentally monster cropping, didn't know it was a thing until I took my clones but there you go. This is also a test run of the SE3000 so really keen to see how bloom and flower set compare to the Mars TSL2000 and whether it tastes any time off flower. Let's find out!!

Geez another two weeks gone! Happens fast when you're dealing with a young kid haha. So that last plant btw, best weed I've ever smoked, would estimate sitting at 25-27 THC just based on experience. Got about 7-8 Oz out of it, the really larfy stuff went straight in with my trim bag to be made into butter but still got 7 Oz that was worth jarring and curing. That has cured for 11 days now and is just delicious. Lots of citrus and pine but some real nice cookies and cream and loooooots of diesel. Real stinky, with the amount I smoke some of that will still be there in a few months cured as all hell. The plan has always been to have a pipeline so I'm never smoking anything cured for less than a few months, oh mama.

I've got two clones outside now in Canna Terra, haven't fertilised yet and just watering when dry. They look great. I can only assume the one on the right came from a different part of the plant than the other three as its structure is mental. There is literally not a space between nodes, the trunk is covered.

For scale they're just under two foot tall. Would be couple of months old now, still a good five months until harvest, may have to think about topping as these will get over the six feet I can afford them to...

Meanwhile the other two are in 3 gal fabric in the tent. Finally got my watering sorted and will post separately about this as it is a whole saga hahaha. I put my first ever Scrog net down tonight. The plan was always to use these two to fill a 3x3 area in my 4x4 as this is the optimal for the SE3000. I will be able to do that easily, these will have another two weeks of stretch at least based on their mother's performance on my last grow. She was a stretcher. If anything there'll be offshoots I'll have to lose because they'll go too far, and I'll be continuing to be brutal with the undergrowth. Only once will I do what I did last time trimming a bunch of popcorn from down low. They look so lovely on the plant, they're a nightmare to trim and so annoying. Never again!! Going for tight hard colas above the net only, no garbage. Gave this a good hand prune of all the straggly stuff under the canopy once the net was down; much of it was single leaf reveg stuff that wasn't doing much for the plant.

Can I get some feedback from those who've gone before me? I'm happy with the net and know enough about these babies that when I come back tomorrow they'll have recovered nicely, and I should have some clarity about what shoots fit where. There are just SO MANY heads with these monster cropped plants. With zero topping there are at least a dozen growth tips on each so I'm backing with my improved environment and watering schedule and experience with these plants from first grow that I may break a pound here. I feel like the plants are performing better under the Spider Farmer than the Mars lights so really keen to see how the colas develop. Eight weeks to go on these I reckon. Peace all

Aaaand just like that another 7 weeks fly by. Turns out having a kid is time consuming. Who knew? It's been a crazy learning curve for me in that time, but all positive. A brief run down of things I've learned this run:

1 - as above: having a kid is time consuming
2 - when the weather doesn't drop below 70 at any point during the summer as is the case here, REDUCE YOUR NUTES. It's all well and good saying 'well they are drinking it all', no they're going thru a lot because it's hot and evaporation. The nutrients are not evaporating off so you need to pull those back to compensate for the huge amount of water being put through them.
3 - when you don't work this out quick enough, you get massive Ntox right the way thru. If you're lucky you work it out at six weeks like me and get on it in time to let things fatten up.
4 - most people who work in grow stores are idiots. They listen to way too much anecdotal evidence while smoking way too much of their own product. Never forget their goal is to get you to buy more. Easy to figure out the rest from there. Their 'chart' recommends 2.4 EC for this point - I'm on 1.1 and it's more than enough.

I've also learned how to be titles with my pruning. Several times I went through and took huge mounds of growth out to ensure nothing from below the net got through. All of these are from various points between mid December and Jan 4:

Bear in mind that's two monster crop clones producing all that. Unfortunately you'll see how badly the N tox kicked in over the next few weeks. Sugar leaves all pretty fucked. Should ease up as they get 1.1 EC and start to eat some of those stored sugars.

It's also just a prolifically bushy pheno that's monster cropped so is vigorous af. You can see how brutal I've been with the under canopy

So day 52 of 12/12, last lot I harvested day 79 so I expect another four weeks on these. Gonna be some fat heads. Also have my two outside girls just doing their thing in soil, will post on them soon. Peace all, nice to be back.

Ease up on your watering. A couple of those pix look like chronic over watering.

Yeah that's the thing it's been over 100 degrees almost every day for the last month so they just churn through water. I know CN is right but so hard to get that balance right. They're still only putting out about 10% run off even at that amount

Oof it ended badly. So these girls started outside and they were hiding Spider mites the whole time, which showed up about two weeks ago. I was then recommended some shit but the grow shop that burned the shit out of about 60% of the crop. I picked the rest early to salvage it and it's crystally but not very dense, likely yield damage from the little mite buggers. Starting a new seed grow tonight, still got to bomb that tent. I'm drying the stuff that wasn't burned but if it is light and fluffy and no good to smoke I'll put it with the rest, wash the whole lot chemically then make bubble hash. Hopefully at least the hash is amazing...

The guy gave me this fatty acid of potassium stuff that is food safe. It just also happens to burn cannabis horrifically. For my outdoor girls I went to my normal guy and got some red shit called mite Terminator. Kills the eggs and all in one hit. Had put that potassium stuff on three days before so I've smashed them. Hopefully that will get me thru the last month before harvest. Speaking of which...

Despite my bad run in the tent, the other two clones that didn't go in the tent are in fabric pots outside. We had a record number of 110 degree days here so they've only been in a spot where they get about 3 hours direct. Wth the arrival of spring they can now sit a bit more out in the open.

The two tent clones and one of the others were all very similar. The other one most have come from lower or higher on the plant and is just way bigger and bushier. Bear in mind these were monster cropped but cutting about two weeks into 12/12, just before flower started to show. No topping or training was done and just look at their natural structure!!

That was this morning. Just after I trained down the big girl, and cleaned low hanging sucker branches off both and I think they look amazing!

The little one was left in a smaller pot. I want to see how the pot size affects flower yield and quality vs how it affects plant size. I also topped it very late not realising it was just starting to flower, so probably stunted stretch, but by removing the top the four heads around it have returned into a big rat king of a head. Can't wait to see what they produce. About five weeks left I'd say...
