Hi I'm new to this site and I'm in my second round of growing and was just looking for some help.
The one big issue I'm having is with Humidity I can not get it below 53%, because I'm in my 4th week of flowering from what Ive been reading I want to be in the 40% range Is this wrong ? should I worry that I can't get below 53% ? I have tried to put a bowl of baking soda some says that works but have not noticed anything different, I know by getting a dehumidifier I can drop it but I think would get into heat problems if I added one to my room but I found a product called Star Brite Dehumidifier bucket Does anybody know if these work?

my current temps during night is around 20-24C temp 53% Humidity and for the Day its' 23 -25C temp 53-55%

My Room is 6x6 8.5 feet high ceiling , I have 2 16 inch wall fans , 1 6 inch floor fan , 1- 6 inch exhaust fan 1, 4 inch intake and for lights I have 2 Mars hydro tsw-2000 watt & 1 Phlizon 2000 watt
I also have a little space heater for cold nights

Any help\suggestions would be appreciated

Thank You

If ventilation doesnt bring it down you need to dehumidify the intake air with a dehumidifier or air conditioning.

But 53% humidity is fine in my opinion. I run my perpetual flower room and veg tent room 45% - 60% using whole house dehumidifier and airconditioning in summer. Never had a problem even up to 70% with enough air flow and circulation.

Thanks for the quick reply MIMedGrower, yeah my exhaust is Full Throttle right now and still at 53%. Good to know this is a acceptable percentage for humidity. With all the reading I've been doing I feel like I'm in information overload and just not sure what to do anymore.

So the way I have my room setup is I basically had an old beat shed 10x10that I built a room inside 6x6, so your saying to have a dehumidifier outside the grow room where my intake is pulling air from ?

No you can have it inside the room or use the extra shed space as a “lung room”.

My flower room is adjacent to my veg tent/ workroom. I use an 8k window a/c in the veg room and fan intakes pull cool air into the flower room. So both spaces are cooled.

So basically you condition the air in the lung room and blow it into the flower room. And recirculate it in winter to save heat and exhaust it in summer to keep humidity down.

Takes some trial and error to set up.

Ok awsome thank you MiMedFrower.

Yeah I'm just trying to fix the free space to make a veg room also but worried about power but that's for another day Haha!

Thanks again

Welcome to the Farm! 🍻

I typically run 45-60% in my 2x4 cabinet during flow flower; however i do make sure there are several fans running to keep the air moving.

Good Luck & Happy Growing! 🍻🥂

Humidity for me is also a constant issue, since i have a warm steam humidifier and exhaust into, as @MIMedGrower called it, a lung room. No dehumidifier. I have a 3x2 cabinet within a large walk-in closet area, so i find it wayyyy easier to control the whole closet environment, and let my fans and exhaust circulate that way instead, either opening or closing the main closet entry i can raise or lower humidity pretty quickly to where i need it

Watch out for the indicator lights!!! cover them up, black them out. I have a bright blue light on my dehu that you don't see with lights on but with lights off it lights up the whole room enough to see each plant. I'm blaming it for my recent hermi issue.

You may have got lucky at 70% that's not good for late flowering. Bud rot can set in pretty quick if it gets a chance to. oops crop lost....try and get it down the best you can like MIMed says 53% you can live with but I'd still work at getting it down a bit if you can and not let it out of control if it starts climbing up. imho

I was worried but i couldnt get the humidity any lower then and still didnt have a problem. And with fat old school buds like white widow/ rhino and northern lights.

I had 3x per minute air tirnover in the tent and 4 clip fans creating an upward vortex. I think that was key.

And you are right. Much better to stay below 60%.
