I believe one of the best reasons clonex worked so well was it is a sticky liquid, it seals the clone making sure no air can find its way into the stem, try dipping them in clear runny honey, then into the rooting powder or maybe sprinkle a touch in the dib hole. Where are you that clonex is so expensive? Ive had their smallest bottle for a while, done maybe 200 clones nd there's still half left lol. I get 99% success for roots, the odd one doesn't make it, nd I just dip in clonex and into pure coco in nursery bags.Mom/Seedling Closet

Trying my hand at making some cuts & rooting. Previously I have got a couple to root by dipping in rooting powder and direct into Promix. Those seem to take forever. So as usual I scour the forums and look for info that will probably work for me. Still figuring it all out.

I am currently trying both Rapid Rooters and also just Perlite in a mini (Hempy?) pot. I am tickled that I got this Fat Banana pictured below to root, just took some time. Wish I had dated the cut but all the newer ones will be dated so I have a better idea on time frame etc. I gave a DIY aeroponic dealio a try a while back but did not have the best luck (proper solution was culprit I think) . I did get some Basil to root using it lol.
If the majority of these root I am going to have some figuring out to do. Wish I knew some other growers local to share knowledge, ideas, cuts etc. It will work out though, always does.

I am currently experimenting with small Bonsai Mothers in small 4"x4" pots. I have trimmed the roots down once to start the process as they were both in bigger pots. I am feeding them only pH'd tap and some DIY organics. They seem happy so far as its been about 6 weeks. drink good every couple of days, providing some decent small cuts to work with.
Fat Banana from RQS on left, Celestial Dragon from DFG.

These two will be next for Veg Cabinet: Blue Cookies Reg, Northern Lights Auto is a stretchy one

Starting up these two Girls Scout Cookies Reg & The White OG. I have not tried either before. Don't fret, the domes come off when I have something above soil :) No paper towel, shot glass nonsense for me. Into the medium, spritz & dome, even temperature works every time :)
so far.....

Keeping it at a steady 75* and RH 55 to 65ish%. So far this lil room is working nicely.

This is the cloning powder I'm using, seems to be about 50% I can get to root. I guess that's not bad for a newbie. Freakin Clonex is like buying gold, what an insane price. I'll see how these current cuts work out before making any more changes.

This is also pretty good
You're welcome, they will root in airated water on a window sill that doesn't get direct light in 14 days. You don't need fancy bottles, but honestly it is worth the money but I think I only paid £9 for mine on ebayAll I have ever used is that powder that I picked up very cheap about a year ago. I have had a couple successes and have not done or tried to do any amount of cuts until now. That and I started this journal.
I'm going to buy the Clonex, it's just one of those things that I put off because in my head its alot for a little bottle, I just need to get over it and know that it will last a LONG time. Just me being an old fart. Interesting about the honey, I did a quick search, plenty of info, thanks. I had not heard of it before.
The last cuts I took were immediately put in water until I got organized with the pots & rooters...taken out, dunked in rooter and into medium...It's been 12 days since they were taken, should be seeing something soon if it's going to happen.
Honestly I don't have room for all these cuts atm but it's great learning this aspect of growing albeit there are many different ways to achieve said rooting.
I appreciate the info man!
Feck you brexit, seedsman now has little hubs around the world meaning I could get my seeds quicker, but LOTS of stuff unavailable to me now, guess I'll have to stick with attitude and RQS from now on, shame as they had a good customer here

Been looking at harlequin but it's a fortune, like £100 I've hopefully met someone, who knows a grower with medical cuts, fingers crossed, if not attitude will see me right. cheersWell that just ain't right Fudge, however have a look at Super Critical Bud CBD, good stuff, high cbd & thc...first one flowered quickly and was done in maybe 49ish flowering days. Maybe that's too strong, I think you mentioned about your better 1/2 and anxiety so this may not be good fit if that's the case. Hope ya find a good replacement :)
