Cheap additives, chemical compounds, alternatives.

Hi guys, wonder if anybody tried these as alternatives and have some insights to add?

Hydroguard ->https://southernag.com/product/garden-friendly-fungicide/
Its supposed to be far more stronger (1ml per 10 gallon) and cheapier and mostly availaible in europe.

MSA, monosilic acid -> potassium silica powder K2SiO4 with molar ratio close to 1.
Really cheapier alternative but no clue how to dose it in RDWC or foliar.

Alternative for flowering boost -> potassium phosphate, well basically MKP. Found some dosing table and use that, doesnt seem wrong but wondr how u dose it in flower?

Anything else?

Hydogaurd - waste of money.

K2SiO4 - why?

KPO4H2 - use this after you switch from vegetative growth to flowers. Wean off N2 then blast with PO4.

What do u use as alternative for hydroguard in RDWC, aeroponics? or myco... using currently great white, which also have beneficial bacteria as hydroguard.

Read that K2SiO4 or K2SiO3, not sure now is cheapier alternative for armor si or monosilic acid MSA. Some says why pay foe water. Using currently MSA from real growers, around 0.3ml per 10L, which is a good concentration but cant make much with 100ml, 3333L of water.

How do u dose it per week since start of flower?
Have actually KH2PO4 for cheap.

Any alternative for fulvic acid and non-organic? Have RDWC and will switch prolly to HPA, seems like a less work having just one reservoir.
Tried in RDWC additive from leonardite and no more, so much cleaning.

Also am looking for something to boost germination, sprouting in RDWC. I just soak in peroxide, water, after another soaking 4-5h in myco and silica without peroxide, then go to paper towel (process cca 3 days) and just put germinated seed right into hydroton sprinkled with myco waiting to sprout cca 2 days.

You’re in liquid culture. Have you had root disease in the past? Ive got enough experience to be very wary of any label claim. That bacillus preparation is a feel good thing. I doubt it does anyhting but make someone money.

Silly silicone. It really has no role in cannabis. Those articles are BS. Cannabis is not a halophyte and doesn’t require silicon. If it makes you happy use it.

Nitrogen - N2. KPO4 was your word. As you approach end of vegetative growth stop using any nitrogen and begin applying phosphate to force the flowers.

These are the claims - I haven’t seen one original research article backing up these claims. Some claims do make sense. When organic matter is done decaying the stuff left behind if humic or fulvic acid. The last 4 claims are bullshit.

Improves nutrient uptake and mobility via chelating action
Improves water retention and drainage of soil
Improves buffering capacity and cation exchange
Supports healthy microbial activity
Decreases plant uptake of toxins in soil
Improves photosynthesis
Boosts plant metabolism and cell division for better growth
Reduces amount of nutrients plants need

Still didnt encounter root rot. How do u prevent occuring?

Any dosage table for that KH2PO4?
So, I should stop using calcinit and main npk and just add KH2PO4? Will prolly need get something for micro as that one have masterblend I use only.

Reason why I mentioned fulvic is mostly because want that increased uptake. Want bigger and stronger plants, bigger yields.

Root rot - cleanliness.

Like Ive said I’m giving you my advice. If it doesn’t make sense to you ignore it.

If you’re in liquid culture the plant relies on you for everything. Depending on your water you may need to supplement with the micronutrients.

I would follow the directions supplied by the fertilizer guys. The plant will switch at sometime down the road to making flowers. As the plant ages you should begin to increase the phosphate. I use super phosphate, 0-46-0. With fertilizer less is more.

Growing side by side you would never be able to tell which plant received the fulvic acid and which is the control.

Active earth in hydro? Never heard, is it basically a soil? I ve used blackjak (humic, fulvic acids, carbon, micro anf light npk) but its messy. Althought PH was far more stable then I ve now in a area where bubble oxygen.

Seems like u ve also learned from a mistake by using big net pots. Also should start with small one as u ve now.

Works in hydroponics .. and soil/potting soil.
