I'm just a little boy looking for reassurance that others are doing well with the same tools. I know it's all about the nutrient profile and not the nutrient maker/bottler, but part of me wants to rush over to the hydro store and get a bottle of the most expensive flowering nutes I can find, lol
Just wanted to bump the thread, and see if those growers who have been using solely jacks as their base with the blossom booster in flower are still using it, or have you guys moved on. I used it on a full veg/bloom run, had a poor yield, but it could have been an environmental issue I had. I'm adding blossom booster starting week 3 this go around.
Cap can you post you recipe for a 10 week flower strain
Interesting. I'll have to look into the pek acid?, the potassium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, map?, most?, and potassium silicate which I think is protekt, lol. Read into some studies on how these ingredients effect plants. Taking it to the next level Cap!
Splakdog and Turbo mentioned cutting back on CalNit after week 4 of flower because of too much N in Capulator's Jack's Back thread. Posted the below question in that thread, but if other peeps are cutting back and have some input, please chime in. Too much N might be why my flowers didn't harden? I'm not getting much of any nutrient burn.
"What percentage do you guys anticipate cutting back on the cal nit past week 4? 20%, 30%? 3-2-1 at 80 and 70 percent has been working fantastic for me, but my flowers didn't harden up last run (could have been environmental problem)."
Stumbled on the JR peters website today, then found this thread.. Looks like I have a lot of reading/catching up to do.. 47 pages.. Is all the info I need in this thread to give it a go?
I add my amendments first, like silica, cal-mag and mineral matrix. Then, I add the Jacks mix in equal amounts until I get the EC I'm looking for. Trying to determine exactly how much to mix up ahead of time has always seemed like more of a pain in the ass than it was worth, so I don't do it.
So for example, if I'm mixing a batch of Jacks, I might mix up a 50 gallon batch like this;
5 Gallon Bucket A:
3 Jacks x 50gal = 150mg
1 Epsom x 50gal = 50mg
5 Gallon Bucket B:
2 Calcium nitrate x 50gal = 100 mg
Fill both buckets full of water and mix thoroughly. Add equal amounts of each bucket to reservoir until you have achieved your target EC.
