Sent in my renewal in early March. Just got my new card yesterday. Not so bad cuz the card is dated as being issued 11/8, therefore expiring 11/8/2011. So it took them 8 months, but in essence, i get a 20 month card with only paying the state $90. For once the inefficiency of the gov't actually pays for the people who fund it

I'm guessing with the start of the new fiscal year maybe the department has a new increased budget and has been able to hire more staff. Just a thought.

Apparently the funds were all allocated, they just couldn't hire anyone. Not sure if it was due to lack of applicants or they were just picky.

My experience also. Sent in application in early March. Check cashed in August. Card arrived in early November.
