I cant speak for either of them, im with you i ran into same issues but until they answer im assuming they arent knowingly releasing hermi plants. Believe this release is with a chem bx2 so that should help it be more stable compared to reversing the clone and doing crosses that way. Theres the Chem logs thread going so can keep eye on how that goes sure OJD or True will answer better.

I'm no breeder, but I can say with the type of gear I've grown outta OJD stock, their selection is of the utmost and i doubt any hermie prone lines would be used as lines to choose studs from. Just my opinion. And the hermies I've seen "lately" were mostly s1 chem reversals, not true m/f stock.

The point is i've read that you can expect chemdog to hermie when grown and wanted to know if this was true or not.

you have to assume there is a possibility. it just happens with chemdog. but as people work the lines down further the will appear less and less. as these grows come in, they will get a better idea of what they are working with. so far every breeder working with the chems has had reports of hermi's. and i think everyone used an afghani for the 1st outcross.

Snickers you are asking an extremely broad question...yes Chemdog has some hermaphroditic tendencies. OJD and True would not start a new line with hermie prone chem lines. The genetics will be fine, frankly they can happen on any chem, so scoop the beans and find your winners!

from the bigg selection of chem bx 2 we looked through we found 1 female plant that had a banana or 2 in later flower but clones were imediately tossed

the chem males we used had zero intersex traits


so to the question on herms im pretty confiendet you wont be geting any herms

Hi guys! Are u still here? I know this has been posted 8 years ago but this post is relevant to me at the moment. Im growing 3 chems by top dawg(stardawg corey haimXonycd. Ive just discovered some seeds in one plant out of 3 im growing. I tossed it out of the tent straight away. I didnt see any bananas or nanners at all, im wondering whats happening. I have 2 plants now and wondering if they will throw seeds or not. Help me. What can you see? They are in coco 7 weeks since flip

When i say throw seeds i mean can it be that one bitch polinated other 2? But i didnt see any bananas or male sacs on either of them...

My worst nightmare came true and theres seeds on onther plants. Not alot, a couple or not even one per bud. Seeds are pretty much mature and there isnt alot of them. My theory is, because seeds are almost mature and my plants are about 7 weeks since flip, that i got them polinated during selection process due to late male in the tent and me being abroad. I have 2 almost mature plants and a couple clones in the same tent, which have been flowering for a week. IDK if i should stop everything and start from scratch or ride them out. I dont want any more seeds. I couldnt find any pollen sacs on those 2 plants or any hermie attributes, i was searching for more then an hour....

The question of "will this strain hermy on me" .?
The plant in question has showed her strain to be of Hermy genetic designation. Not many have a rating of hermy expression for this strain so it is not a desired breeder unless you plan on doing extensive amount of work to properly breed this strain. SO for your question,
CANNABIS Seed packets do not follow scientific guideline and Gov guide lines so you wont know by your seed packs. The only thing a grower can do is hope for proper seed testing which is very rare and why your nervous/concerned about the Hermy Designation for the strain .
I dont release my Chem charts anymore due to proprietary rites owned by different labs.

Find Hermy zygosity 1st in F1. How the fuk you do that Lino?
Find a Pure Dom & Rec herm seeds in your seed bank, genetic designation higher than 7, 9 preferred. These seeds will be very powerful breeding tools. When you flower out the test plants bred with these Dom & Rec plants at 2 wk old plants the charts will explain what Father to use as to prevent a high hermy gene designation. Ive explained all of this in threads but much of it is deleted and moved so no further typing needed on this.

Yes by breeding or other ways also, but this offends guys when I explain how to turn off the Herm and it is not wanted here. If I say that when you breed Top Farmer strain with this other strain and it will throw a bunch of herms, well these guys have melt downs so nothing can be documented also, and especially when I tell Farmers how to control, replicate, cross the plant for hermy expression well they wont have that here at all. I have to stay off their threads. they want to talk about ooy gooy x top strain, they dont want to hear how to make 10,000 purified duplicates with herm expression completely shut off.

Ive only seen 3 PhD geneticist (prob more) come to this site over the last decade looking to hire and conversant with Farmers and they were banned and not allowed here. I have been made aware by a cpl of these guys now that tried to contact me thru this site so I know whats going on... so with all that said the answer to your question will be difficult to find here.

Yes, and prob should dissect many at least 50x to determine and confirm if its an abortion or nanner if your breeding. Buds and any seed pod can have the aborted seed ratio determined in length of pod, sq in or some form of guide to help breeders know what going on, like if we speculate Polyploidy and see a high abortion rate in the field we can report to genetist that we got a high likely hood of Polyploidy and not a mutant and ask for a pay raise cuz you found it not genome guys... 3 haired plants get pay raises just got to be able to tell the genetists what he going to see in his DNA slab and they'll keep ya around...
