right there with you man lol they sure made a hell of an atrocity with the new platform. they're not alone though. Subaru did the same thing with the BRZ. I think Toyota is struggling to be competitive in the sports car market so they're reaching out to companies that have maintained a long track record of producing reliable platform for that niche. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me given the new Camry's are not to be fucked with lol fast little grocery getters.Well former 2JZGTE owner here...call me a purist but that ain't no Supra..i would have opened the bonnet to a Pinto and still parked beside it.
When they collaborated with bmw i was fucking shocked.
But call it what you may, to me it looks like a Z4, i know they mod well but i would take a MK4 anyday.
ya, i think im going to keep it to make the process of emptying the rez easier. In the rez i have a submersible fan that mixes the nutrients but that is a good idea too. Thanks!!yeah, that pump is a baby man. i use the same one for mixing the res when making up new batches. it's simply not powerful enough for the volume of flow you need.
Awesome thanks for the heads-up. I ordered a EcoPlus 400 so will see how this plays out. I think @tobh has one too and he was happy with it.I'm using a Seaflo 33 series pump for my setup. Has plenty of pressure to run an 8 port manifold w/ 8 drippers. It's also self priming. Haven't had an issue with it and it has been rock solid. Stay away from the Flojet stuff. I had to return 2 that just didn't have the pressure they claim. Just throwing that out there.
I would definitely take this road when these pumps fail. although i think i can only have 4 plants in the water bedEcoplus submersibles are pond pumps, they can have decent GPM but they all have abysmal head pressure. I could stop the flow from a hose with a kleenex.
For my 16 plant manifold I use the eco1000 and it's just got enough jam to do the job. Nothing like a utility pump which I use to transfer solution through my filters going into the res. Those have excellent GPM as well as pressure.
I wouldn't put the runoff back into the res without UV sterilizing it first personally.Im wondering how good/bad it is for the drain to go back into the rez? Is this okay or do i need to put the drain line into a different buck?
tobh is 50% isopropyl same as h2o2?enyzmes aren't living, they're proteins. h2o2 doesn't interact with them in a way that causes a molecular change whereas pool shock will. i ran enzymes + h2o2 my last run without problems, i just don't think they warrant the cost when 5ml/gallon 34% h2o2 is pretty concentrated shit and performs a similar action in terms of decomposing dead organic matter. plus, when buying a gallon of h2o2 that tends to be active for six months max, you wanna go through that shit as fast as you can.
Yea, the thing you want to watch though is too much; too much pressure can be a trap in and of itself. Depending on the setup. I think good quality pumps should have a nice range to work within.I'm using a Seaflo 33 series pump for my setup. Has plenty of pressure to run an 8 port manifold w/ 8 drippers. It's also self priming. Haven't had an issue with it and it has been rock solid. Stay away from the Flojet stuff. I had to return 2 that just didn't have the pressure they claim. That's what I was missing on this setup; I realize I've come in late. Is the return line under some plastic in there? Is some of the hardware in there covered up with plastic?Im wondering how good/bad it is for the drain to go back into the rez? Is this okay or do i need to put the drain line into a different buck?
