cleanest way to grow

i am sick of buying dirt all the time as it just seems like a waste of money and is a mess in the grow room

what is the cheapest mess free way to grow
i dont want to have to spend $2-300 for my grow medium every run

i like ebb and flow as it is all in 1 container and res

ebb and flow is a style of hydroponic growing....not related to what medium is used...

Hydroton is what most people use if you dont want to buy and dump medium....but it involves labor intensive washing to reuse....
you can still end up with runaway hydroton on the floor...

Or you could have big rockwool cubes and still do ebb and flow...but you would have to buy cubes and mats everytime...This is the cleanest way...

Hydroton can be cleaned with bleach after every grow. Personally, I've only use hydro for indoor and just recently grew something in some FFOF. Loved it. I'm a soil convert. But yea. Ur gonna wanna go ebb and flow if you want something super efficient and clean.
