Help i believe i made a hydroponic/aeroponics cloner but i need help to see if i did it right or my clones are going to live. Used a tupperwear type shoebox sized container. I have a small water pump hooked up to a sprayer pointed at the lid. I cut 2 holes where the water was hitting and stuck in my 2 homemade cloneing collar which i made out of dollar store swim board its like a noodle but flat. I cut my clones the way i have read a 100 hundred times online. I used a miracle grow single packet that was .02% or .2% cant think. In the water. Root hormones powder kind on root end and in my contraption getting misted. So how much mist is spouses to go on the stem? Also i cut clones and put in powder hormone amd put in a jeffy peat pellet that broke up in a lil red cup. So thoes cuts have been in the soil and humitdy dome for 3.5 days and look like they are 1/2 days from being dead but it could just be me and i thi k there is the tinyest lil green new growth? Ill keep checking or see if they die. I hope not its my first clones ever.

Ok first, the box or the pan needs to be “Black “ logloght proof, when using a water cloning device no light can leak in the chamber.
Second aerate the water as well, add a aquarium air stone and pump, daily cheap.
The spray type would be a light mist, almost fog like, should hit the lid fairly well but not be bruising the plants.
Dont use any miracle grow fertilizer.
All you need is water, plain ol tap water.
If you have clonex gel, that’s the best stuff for aero cloners.
Vitamin b1 works as well
Some use just azos beneficial bacteria as their medium in water

I use clonex gel and nothing else.
Watch the temps, keep it under 75-79, water temp wise, I use freezer packs, tiny cube styles, throw one fuse in when 79, usually in the small cloner I have it brings the temps gradually down to 72-74 and stays there.
About a cube every few days

Btw, oxycloner is only about 135$ shipped from hydro farm

The 20 site oxy cloner is on sale for $55 on Amazon right now.

I was going to make my own but ended up going that route instead.

I did buy another air pump as those always seem to be a weak point and I’ve got plenty of air stones on hand.

By the time you buy the neoprene collars and tub / bucket you’re 1/2 way to the cost of that prebuilt unit.

Btw @Jack og how do you like your oxy cloner? I’ve made several in the past I just figured I’d buy one this time and save myself the hassle. I went to Walmart and by the time I had all the pieces in my cart it was damn near $40. I put it all back and bought coffee and creamer instead. Got home and placed the order. Bought a cob LED light to try out as well.

I love this one but at commercial I use the hydro farm version 128 site ones, have 100 of those and love them, 100% yields. And 7-12 days to root with nothing but azos and dipped in clonex
All in the clone lab , temp and humidity controlled room with flourescent. Lights.
Sealed area , sanitation is key. We wash out tubs after each cycle including removing the nozzle and cleaning the manifold

At home I use the aero style, flood and bubble vs the spray in commercial applications, I have both styles at home but prefer the flood style as it suited my needs and needs no real attentition, whereas s spray type requires daily overlook into temp and water levels.
Each has its drawbacks but for a home application the flood oxycloner is bar non the best for the amount of work it requisites.

Yields 100% everytime and cleanup is minimum andand easy. It fits in a sink!!and the size is perfect for a 1x2x4 lil tent that I use for home clones

Yeah I used to have an aeroponics cloner and it was such a headache. Sprayers got clogged and it was too large to move in and out of my veg cab at the time.

Using the dwc technique made it much easier to maintain. That’s my goal for this one.

I had a 2 gallon black bucket I was going to use but I can’t find any lids for it. I have several but we moved and I can’t find them. I also have a bunch of air pumps and stones where ever they are. That’s why I figured instead of rebuying all the parts I already have I’ll just get this. It’s cheap enough. I think I paid $250 for the aero cloner back in the day.
