I had a tray of clones in oasis (covered w/ a dome) and half of them ended up with grey mold on them....can I save them? I have picked out the ones that look the least affected (no visible fuzzy mold on them) and have cleaned them up by rinsing them off with cold water and dunking them in 50/50 alcohol (91%) and water. I waited a few seconds, then rinsed them again with cold water.

Do you think that they will be ok if I put them in netpots (in coco) and in a few days spray them with organicide? Or - are they a total loss?

I think your problem is overwatering or the air is too moist
you sould open the clone box or whatever
Do you have some root ?
if yes you can put them in netpots but for the organicide , i don't know but the neem oil or bicarbonate recipe but in clone if you have mold it's watering problem for me.

Trying netpots is better than calling it a total loss. 50% gray mold is quite a bit. You should be checking on your oasis cubes more regularly. Removing the dome while doing so will let them air out more often and help prevent gray mold. I've seen spots of gray mold from not checking on them for a couple days. Also, make sure you remove any dying leaves or trim back any large fan leaves touching the oasis cubes. This will also help prevent mold.

yes yes - My clones are usually healthy and great and I know how to take care of them. The mold occurred due to an in-laws visit. I just wasn't able to get down there and work at all the week they were here. I knew things would probably go bad and I'd just try to pick up the mess when they left. They are gone now and I just wanted to know if the clones were worth trying to save or should I scratch them and make new ones - which would mean another 3 - 4 weeks before I could flip them...not a desirable idea.

I think so far I have had more "yes you can save them" answers than "toss" - so I'm going to give it a go. It's a gamble...I know - but I'm taking it.

Well some got tossed and others got a clean-up job and some tlc and they are now rocking the hydro tent. I've added a sulfur burner to the tent to up my odds of a successful run. If anything goes wrong that looks to be a direct result of having started out with some mold I will update this thread but until then we can assume all is well. : )

I can not say what happens why because I hadn't came across such a problem till now. I guess that it may be good if you spray it with organicide. As you had cleaned a lot with both hot and cold water there will not be any problem. Any how good luck for your clones.

I would only suggest lightly sparing your clones with a water/ super-thrive mix. as long as the humidity is around 80 percent and u let them air out for a bit each day they shouldn't create mold. U want clones humid not soaked, sprayers over misting onto where your lights is whats causing the mold. try to cover the net baskets better so mist doesn't come out of the bottom of the container. I would keep the ones that make it cause they are obviously the more superior genetics. I always take more time with cloning and use more attention because of the very fragile state the plants are in. treat clones like babies
