I was hoping by chance the root system may combine since I just killed the old plant and put a new one in its place. Either way I'm benefiting from the old root system. After I harvest I will look to see what the root system looks like.

No it want buddy the male root system is dead and decaying having no plant material above ground so basically what you have made is a ball of compost which both of the other plants will eat up they will not join the root system together if that's what your hoping . Anyway good luck with it all .

Little organic boost. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Btw those clones got thrown into flower right away which is why I have two in one pot. I was using the old root system and soil to help the new clones any way it could. Grafting sounds interesting. Although I probably didn't have time for that this time. Maybe I will try that down the road.

My guess is you take the plant and some how get it to root into a stump of a root system or other part of the plant. By slicing down the stem in a cross pattern possibly? And then use some kind of rooting compound? Im prob way off lol. But it's better than cheating and just going and looking it up right away. Which I prob will do any how. This is a learning experiment for me. I may have to try grafting also just because.

I just looked it up. I've done it on accident when branches fell down. I'm assuming it works the same way. I used tape and things managed to heal themselves. I'm not sure I could pull this off now that I have cut the previous stock so low. But I may try. I wonder if any one has tried it from a seed sprout.
