co2 and air pumps

OK Ive seen some post where people say you cant have your air pumps in the same room with co2 why is this?
Ive been running dwc for 2 years with co2 never had a problem....

I guess the reason is that if your environment is high in co2 the "air" your pumping into your system will be as well.

I've read the same thing with co2. Guess it's not ideal for the root system. They want high oxygen, not co2 at the root zone.
