I’ve been repeatedly told you can go with higher temps using CO2. Im only wanting to max out at 78 due to an office off of the room with a fish tank that I don’t want to get over 80f in. I have a 5tons worth of water chilling and water cooled a/c capacity but I haven’t used it due to running coco. I’m not going to turn it on for a fish tank and I have a drop in self contained chiller that I don’t want to use permanently. No, not a waist. Is the room sealed? Are you running in veg? Are you running in flower? I’ve used it for years.
I’ve let my room run the 80s a few times without enriching and my plants didn’t like it. It wasn’t bad in hydro in the 80s with the water chilled. But running hand watered coco not so much. There really isn't hard evidence yet that truly confirms hotter is better. I ran 83 max 1500ppm for years with great results, however I currently run 77-79 1100 ppm and my plants look alot happier I must say. Yes we've all read and been told you can run hotter I do believe that but if your environment isn't dialed in perfectly, there's little room for error imo.
I’ve noticed the same thing. If you get those temps up into low 80’s and get your humidity into the 70’s early flower the growth is unreal but keep it there too long deficiencies appear. I think, as u said ,everything has to be PERFECT to maintain that metabolic rate. If you’re doing multi feeds daily and closely monitoring your root zone needs like in say wool or dwc it might be easier to maintain ideal conditions. I’m in 20gals coco so not really feasible for me. There’s a great old horticulture book called Secrets of High Yield Gardening ; in there it’s got a graph showing how as temperature increases in relation to humidity the plant metabolic rate/ growth speed up until it gets to about 85-86f then it quickly plateaus and drops off as it gets warmer. So anyhow it shows peak at 85-86 with co2 supplementation HOWEVER at peak it says that it’s “unpredictable/destructive growth”. It doesn’t elaborate too much on what he means by that but from what I see basically means deficiencies and tissue flaws since the plant just can’t keep up. The author goes on to recommend temperatures in the 75-79 range as safe and predictable. I can tell u for certain your quality will be better at the lower tempsThere really isn't hard evidence yet that truly confirms hotter is better. 78 is my max max max. Usually 76 in summer 72 in winter.Yeah without Co2 pumping I never let my temps hit the 80's usually 75-76 max
BTW, I should probably stop scrubbing between the rooms and scrub each room individually?Honestly I have seen no difference between 1500 and 1100 ppm weight wise, so I stick with the 1100ppm. Yeah 78-79 is great I think.
I have intelliclimate for each room.Atlas controller, ran it at 1250.
I should probably scrub each room individually also? I’m currently scrubbing one room into the other.Atlas controller, ran it at 1250.
All rooms are connected? I do not trust those types of electronic devices to control my grow.I have intelliclimate for each room.
I’ve had these brains for 4 years without a hiccup minus fine tuning some of the programming. I haven’t checked out any of the latest greatest but these are diesel, Diesel. All rooms are connected? I do not trust those types of electronic devices to control my grow.
